Do you need get browny points from leaf eaters because you did something perfectly normal (eat mushroom) as a meat eating omnivore? Do none meat dishes need to be classified as vegetarian or vegan? No they dont, the only thing in this dish that gave the vegan crew a shout out was the lack of anchovy in the wostershire sauce, everything else was all very normal for a very normal omnivorous human to consume. Don't allow them to think vegetables are 'their thing'.

xFaces Dadomx na, I eat many meals without 'animal products' in them, they are not vegan meals, they are meals that are eaten because as omnivores, complimenting our meat with addition nutrients is not only beneficial but also what the hunter gatherers were able to achieve as they became more adept due to brain growth, they could mix and match different ingredients for enjoyment, not only survival, most importantly they taste good, no branding is required to make some sub cult happy and allow them to make some sort of new identity out of something that has been going on for thousands of years.

Turquoise Cheetah I mean, I personally think it's nice to announce that a particular recipe is gluten free or vegan or whatever, so that people who are vegans or have celiac disease for example can find it easily. It's just doing something nice for people who are looking for new recipes. But I do understand what you mean, a dish that doesn't contain any meat is not some new invention, people have been eating plant based meals for thousads of years just because that's what they could make with the ingredients they had, not because of any particular ideology.
