You know what? One of the most significant advantages of 2 handed bowling is the room for ball manipulation. In other words, you can control the ball's motion and make it work the way you like to hit the pocket or strike more. If you are interested and want to know this secret, this video is for you.

I 100% could see and feel a difference. I think as I used the more tilt hand positions my ball speed also dropped and since it was new, felt like I was going to drop the ball a lot. Going to take some practice for sure. @@BowlismOutlaw

Hey BoslismOutlaw, can you do a video for a problem i have or probably common in two handers which is dropping the ball at the foul line instead of smoothly releasing it. every time i release the ball theres a big thud which can causes the ball to lose energy and always leave the pin 10 out. one of the smoothest two handed i've ever seen is zach wilkins you should see his bowling game

Hi i really like these videos and am a new 2 handed bowler, can you please do a video on how to properly hook the ball and how to release it? I find the hooking hand rotation motion is difficult along with the arm position upon release. That would help so much have a great one keep bowling great

Uhm…..It seems the concept of releasing the ball is still alien to you Jako?
@jako77777
@jako77777 11 ай бұрын
well it comes from having to "properly" rotate the hand and wrist while changing arm extension while carrying a 15 pound weight. I tend to hook incorrectly and wondered if you had suggestions.@@BowlismOutlaw

@@BowlismOutlaw I just love that you really break down the different elements of the style and truly understand the mechanics. Since I find consistency hardest, its usually because one of the components of the style is missing, or that I'm doing wrong. Lots of people assume 2 handed bowling is easy, but there are so many elements to remember or things that could go wrong, like: Is my starting foot position correct? Is my target correct for the last shot? Is my ball choice correct? Did it get a comfortable grip on the ball? Is my off hand in the right place for tilt angle? Does it need more? Are my knees bent/am I flexible? Am I stepping left enough/too little to open my hips, "oh no, did I move to far and create too big an entry angle" Are my shoulders angled correctly towards the break point? Did I bend over far enough to create a good pendulum? Did I push my off hand elbow forward to create the "baby rocker" swing (this is my mental note to create this shoulder roll style and not muscle the ball) Did my elbow stay tucked in? Did my hand come up the ball enough? Did I follow through enough? Did I drive with enough leg power, that hop felt a little slow? Was my timing correct, the swing could have been faster/slower? Am I balanced at the foul line, I posted my shot ok? Did my foot slide ok, was the weight distributed correctly? Where did the ball cross the arrows/break?

Ander bro, I appreciate your comment, lots of food for thought. I believe that our physical body has its own logic. The more we know about our body, the more we can utilize it to have proper movements.

@BowlismOutlaw I tried your lessons last night, I find it much easier to create a sharper angle more consistently, when the non ball hand is on the right side of the ball, feels like it locks that angle in place.
