Salaam Sister, Thanks again for a splendid video. As usual, I am watching this mouth watering episode from Southern California on a hungry stomach on a late Saturday night and it’s a delight. I watch your vlogs all the time and you validate my choice about Turkish food being the best for my taste buds and am pretty sure others will concur with my views. I will eat this food any day and every day. In the early 2000s, I had the pleasure of enjoying authentic Ottoman food in an old restaurant in Istanbul that was in operation for over 100 years. Kishk is dried yogurt with bulgur. In Palestine we cook it with lamb cubes and serve it with white rice.

Thank you for an immaculate videolog from Bolu. What a beautiful table service/menu! That is the ONE bad thing about your videos, in that I can not eat what I see in them! As I view your videos, I often dream of living again in Türkiye. I have so many memories of living on the southern coast of the Sea of Marmara, in Karamürsel. I would love to live in Türkiye again. If it were not for my children and grandchild, and my age, I would move without a doubt. I still remember those evening breezes along the small Karamürsel harbor. My favorite early evening spots were the "mom and pop" open air cafes along the waterfront. I will never forget the hospitality of the people of Karamürsel (and Yalova). The foods I ate and enjoyed there are some of the foods you demonstrate on this channel. And, you also demonstrate the unlimited hospitality of the People of Türkiye.

This is gastronomical cruelty - watching the delectable food, but not being able to taste it! 😀 I would book my plane ticket right now if I could afford it... I wish I could have the recipes, as well as the ingredients from that region so I could try to make it at home, but I know it would not be the same. This episode was great. The noodle dish with cheese and walnuts looked delicious and easy to make. I ordered frozen manti from a Turkish grocery store here in Toronto, Canada just so I could know the flavour before I tried making it from your recipe. They sent me lamb filled instead of the cheese but it was very good and now I want to try it with lamb. Those soups looked fantastic too. Can you try to recreate the lentil and bulgur soup? I’ve made your other lentil soups so it would be interesting to taste his adaptation. Thank you so much. This Japanese/Canadian gal loves your channel.❤️🌹🌸🌺🌼

This is torture! One dish looks better than the other. With the "Hünkar", however, I don't see the béchamel, which is clearly present in your recipe - which I have already cooked. 👍

Let me share a royal gossip about "hünkar begendi" french Queen eugine and ottoman sultan Abdülaziz met first in paris during sultans visit, later french Queen visited also istanbul on the way for opening ceremony of the suez Canal, and be the Sultan's guest for some weeks,, no photo, no written proves but rumors of their friendship ❤ and one more thing Hünkar begendi receipt. Queen s chef and Sultans (hunkar's) chef worked together at the palace kitchen and presented bechamel souce and meat kebab at the same plate,, and still its so popular dish today,,, :)))
