No one was actually paid. Brian used a very common technique for you tubers when it comes to these types of videos. When there is a money factor in a challenge to where you have to fight through challenges to keep gaining money makes the video more appealing to the audience. Because think of it the video wouldn’t be as appealing to watch completely if it was hypothetically done for fun , where you try the different foods for fun. But how Brian added the money factor it adds another reason to watch the video completely and it definitely worked as many of you and including me finished the video.
