Hey Evan found your channel just recently, doing a civic build as well. My wife wrecked my last build even tho it hurt to see $20k down the drain, I remained positive cause it could have been worse if something happened to her or my daughter in the car. So I bought this 98 Civic Ex , I was always a big fan as a kid just was never able to buy one. Well I had some cash and cashed in on one I had my eye on, although I’ve hit multiple bumps on the road, my learning process has been awesome. Thank you for the positivity you put in your videos, it’s always a good spirit lifter at the end. Maybe hope to see you in the streets one day!

Those rods are good, I know a dude who has them in his bmw, and they work good. They're great quality, despite what people could think of them, they're made of the same material as brand name rods, and are machine with a quality german made machine that costs the price of a house. So no worry about strength or about clearances not being precise enough. To give you an idea of how far they went with the quality, the ones I looked at were Tuv certified, so that's a proof of quality. And yes, I know this stuff because I was looking at the cheapest rods you can get and was wondering how good they would be. (they might be close to the price of eagle rods when you only need 4, but when you need 6, there's quite a big difference, so it's worth getting them instead of eagle.) Edit: I believed Evan when he said there wasn't much difference in price compared to eagles for a d16, but there's literally a 150$ difference, and that's quite a lot for the exact same product. They're literally made in the same material and with the same machine as brand name ones, I literally wouldn't be surprised if there was brand name rods coming out of the same factory.

Dude, I love your videos. I must express my jealousy of your TWIN POST IN YOUR GARAGE!!! I have a 2 car garage with an attachment that can hold 4 more cars but doesn't have a lift yet. I don't think people realize how much having a twin post lift helps with EVERYTHING. I learned on my back in a gravel driveway, when I worked in my first car garage back in high school years ago I specifically remember saying holy shit this is so much easier, you're telling me I can pull a car in, rack it, and have ALL four corners at eye level in under 5 mins? You mean it doesn't take 20+ mins jacking it up by hand and putting boards and things down to make it stable in gravel? LOL. Anyways, awesome stuff man, keep it up

Remove the pcv system and black box off the back of the motor the factory pcv system wont vent the block well enough..relieving that case pressure will really help with the longevity of this build.... a twin turbo d series is great idea I thought about doing one awhile back with a couple Borg Warner ko4s

you might have to notch the D16 block in order to put the aftermarket H beam rods in. They may hit inside the block if you don't.

U should get some higher compression piston like p29 style compare to like the low comp vitara to spool the twin turbos faster, since where u live have e 85 it should make way more power and be safe at the same time.
