Welcome to Sohyang's world. :) Sohyang is the Korean Queen. She has never lived in the USA but she has visited a few times. When she sings in English she doesn't have an accent but when she speaks she very much has an accent. When she sings she takes a lot of care to pronounce her English words as well as possible. Yes she switched to Korean for the second part she sometimes does that, sings in both English and Korean. She has many English covers as well, I would suggest "I have Nothing" DMC festival 2015.

Thank you for a Great reaction video! I have followed her for 8 years and she still give me shivers! She is primarily a Gospel singer but sings almost all genre’! She is born and raised Korean! She learnt English watching , Little Mermaid and other Disney shows! She ghastly travelled to the USA singing in Churches mostly as well as about 60 countries! The back up singers are her! The arrangement is her! Try her rendition of Bridge over Troubled Water, like you never heard it! This Performance was on a Korean show we’re all the Performers had to sing Michelle Bolton songs, written by or made Famous by him! He is in the audience as it shows him at least twice! He made quite the Dora h about her Performance an called her a Virtuoso and asked her to join him on his Korean Tour! She was only able to do one show as she had commitments doing charity and Church work! THX’s great video of SoHyang who recorded this @ her home studio 4-2020 as comfort due to COVID. It’s the only time, she’s EVER posted a video, making it so special. ♥️ She’s a rarity w/ no desire for fame, turning down big Producers & labels thru the yrs, no social media or YT channel.. only a desire to comfort others. We all wonder if So Hyang is human or from another planet. Current odds are that she’s from another planet, with an outside chance she’s actually an angel come down from Heaven. 😇 We have never heard anyone sing like her, or be able to hold an audience in the palm of her hand until she lets them go. Her voice is, as one person described it, like liquid gold. Perfection in clarity and pitch, and she doesn’t fade in the upper octaves, which is startling when you hear her hit those 5th and 6th octave notes with such _POWER_ it actually gives everyone goose bumps-and makes us bald guys’ hair stand on end! As she says, her voice “is from God.” She does all the musical arrangements herself (with the input of her musical assistants), teaches vocal technique at a South Korean university and speaks four languages. Korean, English, French and Vietnamese. Let me catch my breath. OK. She is a survivor of uterine cancer from the age of 20, just after getting married, and states very plainly that God saved her life due to the prayers of her church. But this left her without the ability to have children so she decided to dedicate her life to being a Contemporary Christian Gospel singer and has refused recording contracts from the biggest corporations in the world. She only wants to sing for charities, churches and while doing missionary work, to strengthen those suffering through difficult times. David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton and others have all eagerly worked with her when they were in South Korea or Japan. She contracted hepatitis B from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery and it clings to her to this day. So Hyang doesn't know _how_ to sing a song and not put her whole being into it. We all believe that she is the best female singer currently on the planet. She is a serious Christian who lives in South Korea. "Amazing Grace" was written in 1772 by a British former slave-trading ship's captain named John Newton, after many years of living an evil life. He sincerely regretted trading in human life and misery and wrote the song to express his sorrow and rejoice that God would forgive him. He became a Christian minister and served in that capacity until he died in 1807.
