The Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) is a certification for those who are new to the Business Analysis profession. There is no work experience required. The EBCA Certification shows that you have the core knowledge and competencies for business analysis. The ECBA Certification is based on the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK Guide), the globally recognized standard for the practice of business analysis.
In this webinar, we share the starting point in the ECBA certification exam process.  The speakers discuss the ECBA certification requirements and provide proven study strategies to help structure your time management, study materials, and resources. They also discuss stress management techniques so you can study and prepare for the certification exam efficiently and effectively.

I have an MBA and an experience of 7 years working in varying analyst roles in a Bank.Does this count towards work experience criteria?

Some of your work experience might be used for certification. The ECBA certification is for those without experience. For you, look at the CCBA or the CBAP certification. Here's a link with more information www.iiba.org/business-analysis-certifications/iiba-certifications/

I have master degree in Business Management. Is this course suitable for me? Plus I do have bachelor's degree in Marketing. I have keen interest in business analyst position but unaware if it's the right set of tools I am looking for.

Hi Usman. The ECBA certification is intended for people who do not have experience in a business analysis role or are new to the role. You will learn the foundational of knowlege to understand business analysis and the role. With your business degree, you have an advantage to understand business stakeholders very well. Does that help?

Hi Team, thanks for this video. I have ten years of experience as a Quality analyst and one year as a Business Analyst, I need some guidance on which exam to take, ECBA or CCBA?

With 1 year of business analysis experience, you don't have enough experience to qualify for the CCBA certification. ECBA is the certification for you.

ECBA™ Professional Development activities must align with the BABOK® Guide v3.0 and have a minimum of 21 hours of activity within the last 4 years in any of the following categories: • Classroom courses (IIBA® Education Endorsed Provider, “EEP” courses, other training providers courses) • Chapter events (presentations, workshops, conference days) • Chapter study groups • Conferences (keynotes, track sessions, tutorials, workshops) • Self-directed learning (reading/studying the BABOK® Guide v3.0, archived webinars) • Online courses (IIBA® Education Endorsed Provider courses, other training providers courses, live webinars) For more information about ECBA Certification, refer to the Certification Handbook - www.iiba.org/globalassets/certification/files/core-ba-certification-handbook.pdf
