Awesome that you figured out the colors, helped me fix some cameras which had clear shorts in their UTP connectors from water, after crimping on another plug they worked fine again! :D

I just installed Dahua nvr and cameras. I was gonna move one camera but forgot to unplug cable. When i disconnected it then moved it . Now my nvr cant find it. Is it broken you think ? I dont know how to test the camera, when i plug inmpower i can see the red ir. I had a öain just to get the cameras connected to nvr. Now im not sure what ip it has, the one i gave it or the one that nvr gave it ?

Thank you very much for sharing colour coding, my question is when we connecting RJ45 connection with the camera cable , what we do number five & eight cable ( i.e. white blue and solid brown) do we cut these two cables or we twisted cable four& five (white blue with blue solid ) and same thing with cable 7& 8. thanks in advance if you reply to this question.

April 20, 2020. Similar problem with IP POE pigtail for bird nest camera. 1-8 pin out module inside camera #1 is empty. 2. Blue. 3. wh/green 4.green 5. white/or 6. orange 7. black 8. red. If 7 & 8 are part of alternate power, don't need it. How do the above colored wires translate onto cat5 or cat6 ?

I removed the rj45 I will never use that, that left me the 12VDC power plug, That plug has 3 wires red red/white black. Will that work? It is wireless

Hello, I have almost the same camera from dahua, but I cutted off the power connector sometime ago and now i can't find this piece of cable back anymore to measure how it needs to be connected... I can't see this cable in your video, only in the beginning, but there are just 4 colors inside; red/black/green and blue. I connected red to + 12V and black to -12V. But i still can't find the camera in the internet. Can you tell me what's the connections of this power connector? thanks in advance
