Just incase you hadnt seen this cracking veet review: Veet -- the Men's Hair Removal Gel Creme (from hell) . . . Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 July 2012 After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly successful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit of a treat.I ordered it well in advance and working in the North sea I considered myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen. I didn't have long to wait. At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the destruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling to not bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel of in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair.Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, tore the lid of and positioned it under me. The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing soon returned. Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the draw for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon. I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so. I took a handful of them and tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse. This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found it's way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running it's engines behind me.This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain. The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before. Unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering..." Ooooh that feels good " Understandingly this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involuntary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction. I can understand that having a sprout farted against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status... So to sum it up Veet removes hair, dignity and self respect....... :-

Mind you I live in Texas, but it does get cold here. That said, I wear shorts in damn near any weather year round, as long as it’s not like 35 and windy. I worked in Colorado as like an outdoor hike guide thing in HS, and an old timer told me that you lose most your heat through your upper body, so may as well wear shorts in the cold. It’s always stuck with me, and always proven to be true. And yea Mitch, shorts and a hoodie draws looks even down here when cold.

First, you’re awesome. Love watching you go about life, because it seems you are thoughtful, humble, and curious, and I constantly strive to be the same. Second, and this is from one bald man to another: get a Skullshaver. It fits between the fingers so shaving your head becomes as easy as rubbing your head. Do it every day, and it’ll literally only take two minutes. Also, you’ll know you’ve gotten everything, because you can hear it cut the hairs. Baby smooth dome every time with next to no effort and you won’t have weird chemicals in your system nor any blood running down the back of your head! Take care.

I started taking cold showers every morning back in May or so in the summer. Now the water is a lot colder but it is so much easier for me to do. The hardest part is just getting in now. It's mental. I feel so good after my cold showers now. I haven't started doing cold plunges but I can't wait to try. In a weird way the cold is starting to feel good and refreshing instead of this thing that is tough to do. I haven't watched this video yet but I just wanted to get my comment in before I have to go do something else. I did watch your video with Eddie when it came out.

I love what you said about discipline and motivation changing one thing at a time vs overhauling things. I agree but with a caveat, I think that spirit is why you are a champion. That being said, I think most people fail because they try to do too much at once and burn out. I’m all about the “everything at once approach” for the right person at the right time but I think most people need to make incremental small changes until they’re habits constantly building on one another until a year or two later the person is living an unrecognizable life. I think this prevents burn out, I almost want people to be itching for that next step before it’s introduced. Thinking specifically about the obese population, I think too much too soon is why the ozempic crowd pretends that diet and exercise don’t work

Mitch, the best thing you can do is change to saftey razor they are razors your dad or Granddad used the packs of individual blades are super cheap and shave way better that disposable razors and last longer the only thing better than a saftey razor is a straight razor (i.e "cut throat" razor) but you will knick yourself when you first start out with those.

It's just good coffee, ground well and made well without too much fuss. I think the reputational is owing to the sheer volume. As I said, there are more cafes serving good coffee than there are convenience stores, supermarkets and McDonalds combined. They're everywhere.@@-Erebus

Other hacks in the world. Some would say balding is from high insulin, high carb food plan, high quantity of meal timings, high inflammation. Or some combo. Have you checked fasting insulin, hba1c blood test. Or various c-reactive protein or many others. Just some food for thought. I love cold showers, shorts and flip flops in winter. In my state shorts are common. Just the flip flops gets some cat calls.

exactly! this is the way, not just about hair but about everything. nowadays people are too busy on social media and want to change anything about them to try to look ``better`` the best way to look is the way how its meant, like a real man

i wonder if there's any link to athletes that do extreme hot/cold and those same athletes tearing muscles/tendons? I would imagine it would make the muscle stiffer over time which is the opposite of what u want

Since you've gone through a massive body composition change in just a few years, did you use a CPAP when you were just a runner and before all the strongman stuff? How do you view the need for it and any benefits since you've been using it? I have a natural strongman build from doing lots of farm work and I'm a snorer, which I've slightly mitigated with a wedge pillow and I don't have a CPAP yet. I'd love to see a video all about CPAP use with strength sports or those build types, most people just admit they use them but never go into depth about them.

as swedens 3rd strongest man, i would say that 1/3 to half of the big big dudes doing strength sport needs a cpap. but it's not like an accessory you get and it just makes you stronger or anything. it's more like, if you stop breathing while you sleep, you need a cpap to fix that and not feel like shit. but i think there are alot of big guys out there that just think "i snore and thats ok" when infact they have sleep apnea as the condition is called. if you are big and if you know you snore heavy, chances are you should go to a doctor and do a sleep analys. there are enormous health and performance gains to be made if you infact have even the slightest sleep apnea. my bloodpressure before treatment where like 180/100. now i can be mid season and peak at 138/80 ish.

Big guys that are heavy snorers usually have sleep apnea. It's almost a given. Their airflow gets blocked and they choke causing them to wake up briefly in order to get breathing again. This interrupts sleep. Can effect everything from personal life to work to in the gym. We all know what it's like operating with bad sleep. Some people will live in this state like everything is fine everyday.

Cold therapy at first lowers your immune system, but if you can stick to it over a 60+ day period you become what one study called "cold adapted" and most of the studies that I could find browsing the internet showed that over a long period of time it actually strengthens your immune system by a significant margin.

I used Nair once on my groin. (I'm a dude and was curious) Left it on to long, and still had to shave. It burned like hell..........but when I put aloe lotion on it ............that felt like acid.

Question, won’t a more deliberate cold “therapy” like a cold plunge have a much more pronounced affect (if there is one)? The same way a cold shower is not as effective as a cold submersion?
@Kado1609

a plunge obviously have a different effect since you shock your whole body at once... but if you only have cold showers thats perfectly fine... your not a top athlete so no need to go so deep into things... for us "average" people just to do it is enough at the beginning... im just saying if you dont have top end equipment well then just stick to the basics wich is perfectly fine... i live in denmark so right now i just use the lakes last year i swam arround in frozen water for 20-25 minutes but that was a bit to long i was shivering for an hour after 🤣🤣🤣

Isn't cold therapy good for performance recovery but bad for hypertrophy? I realise that's not specifically the end goal but it's certainly a needed byproduct
