i think eddie holds a lot of good points. however, with the 'basic income' idea, i think it's flawed in the sense that it doesn't produce motivation for those who are under govt support to look for new jobs/etc. The point of salary is to provide a motivation for a better life. that being said, if a system was implemented that fixed the major flaw that a person's individual situation is taken into account, this could work out.

Obviously smart talented creative guy. Lived in a mansion that his father paid for. Yet he still is complaining about the show "fresh off the boat" which is a wonderful show!!! No stereotypes, we all have our stereotypes and so what? The show portrays an Asian family and so what? The actors give the impression of a really solid family who lives with the same struggles we all have no matter the race. That is a positive !!! So with that said What does he want? a show based on a trashy family with family abuse ? No one would watch and not only that why bite the hand that is feeding him? I think Eddie is making himself look like a spoiled idiot.
