Just imagine the day when this scenario isn't entertainment. What happens when/IF the US is hit with an EMP or something worse. Many people will starve and the people that don't will be taking advantage of people and abusing women and children. I pray nothing ever happens but if it does hopefully people are prepared and they don't stop to ask questions.

Sadly, when 95 percent of children are sent to public education camps that teach Only the ways of working the system and to purchase, consume then throw away.... and not to survive off the land for self sustainability.....it would turn into a dystopian world....overnight. Did you see what happened at the theme park in Atlanta, Georgia the other week? Six Flags, I believe. Times that by a billion....

Anarchy is always 3 days away for everyone.....Day 1 without food would bring hunger, Day 2 without food desperation, Day 3 you would fight and possibly kill for it.....Actually for the budget they pulled off quite a good movie depicting what it really will become ......not much longer to wait now to see how the world turns out ......

This is FIRST CLASS! Sobering and very probable in such a scenario. Think of US collapsing and disparate violent groups controlling parts of the hinterland.

I like your use of the very accurate term "tribal", and this brings to mind a situation not unlike that existing from the decline of Rome from (from 410 C.E., on ward).

@@MrMirville Rome degenerated - with the aid of three major invasions - over several centuries. Carthage collapsed not because of degeneracy but because of the Punic wars. Those and Cicero sullied historical accounts of Carthage (and they may be true), but, that aside, I don't think its demise will be within days. Case in point is Mexico, where vast swaths are run by gangs, the central regime not venturing into those territories, a scenario I see for the US when the central regime there crumbles. As a backdrop, think of its infighting, debt, and simple incompetence - all with deindustrialization and a military that can't defend the country.

If it's years after the apocalypse that corn field would not still be standing with edible ears still on it. Fields of corn do not sow themselves. The lifespan of corn is only about 4 months maximum.

Pretty good movie..lots of action and survivalist moments..id recommend watching it..the only thing was they left us hanging on weather or not that poor girl that got killed at the enemy HQ was that couples daughter or not..boy i sure wouldnt wanna be in the UK when disaster strikes..its gonna really be hell out there..i wonder if theres a part two..

And the guy that looks and finds your hideout, kills you the minute you show up. Think, I'm hunting for food, hideouts built by city dwellers are my best move when the grocery stores run out. (Three Days!) And you may be dead in the chaos. There's many a country boy knows exactly what is stockpiled anywhere near him. This ain't the city, and you're the outsider everybody watches. This is the reason fugitives get caught when they try to hide in the country. Yeah, come on out and bring us canned goods and automatic weapons, then sleep the sleep of the naive. Just don't expect things to be so easy after SHTF. 😊

Think about some food and water then you don’t have to leave your hideout and use those arrows. US Dept of Dense did a study that 90% of America would be dead in one year. But that still leaves 35 million to hide from.

I don’t believe we will end up like that. Humanity has never been that bad. Humans are social animals and Will band together in small groups, and very soon not tolerate anarchy, but will create new laws and norms. I lot of that violence may be directed towards hunting and farming again. If you’ve ever been through a natural disaster in a town or city, you know how people band together in mutual support. This movie is good though in that it makes you think.

It's just a movie about the apocalypse, but the principle can be applied for every day life- I guess the lesson to learn here is to stay away from stupid people from alcoholic drugs addicted and thieves, I had to learned the hard way and it was a very close relative she stolen everything from me to get her addictions but I'm a way I deserve it for ignoring all the many many red flags.

The first 12 minutes of this film. 🤣 This boy just can't outrun misfortune. I'd have left her for the cannibals. Useless is still useless, ..despite the plumbing. "Can you catch game? Harvest veg or berries? How about fish? Do you know how to field dress game or fillet? How about start a fire? Cook? Sew? Disinfect or dress a wound? Craft a basic blade or spear?" Questions he should've asked but failed. All things I learned before I was 14. Leave her for the cannibals. This boy foolishly crippled himself. (shakes head 🙄.)
