Thank you for sharing. i have not watched you in a bit. I love my Cricut and my favorite feature is writing with my Cricut. We just made all my daughters wedding invitations and addressed all the envelopes with the Cricut and Canva.

If you remove the die before you try cleaning it, it will reduce the mess on the plate. The ink that comes with the betterpress system is much adder to remove.

Wow! Absolutely stunning. I love how you enhanced the BetterPress plate. I would have never thought of that. It is so colourful. And I loved how you addressed the envelopes. I will have to try that! Genius ❤

WOW! I loved what you did with the BetterPress and then hand painting your flowers. The Cricut really made the envelopes so pretty but love your writing of the names. Like you I took awhile to get out my BetterPress and then found it so easy. Same with the wax seal maker. Thanks so much for all your wonderful input.

I have a Brother scan n cut not a cruicut, but I'm thinking I would use the pen to draw a dashed border slightly within the envelope, instead of setting it to cut and skipping the blade, if you like a faux stitched border 😊 Love Kristina's videos, I lwarn so much! I do wish we had better access to US brands in the UK though, they're much nicer than a lot of what we can get from UK and European brands.

Great tutorial, and great idea writing with Cricut! Here's just a thought with a feature that I just recently learned about in Design Space. What if, you set the square to the square to "Guide" (all the way at the bottom of the operation drop-down menu) instead of the basic cut. The machine will probably skip trying to cut the square and you won't have to remove the blade. As I said, I just recently learned about it, and in theory, it should work. I will try it when I go down to my studio. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and tutorials you share with us. ❤

Maybe I was doing it wrong, but when I tried making it a guide, when I went to make it, it didn’t keep the positioning. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ah yes. I just tried it and you are correct. Even if you attached the text to the guide, when in the mat, the guide is disregarded! 🤬 Oh well. It was a nice thought to think it would work as it “should” 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

These cards are beautiful!!! Interestingly enough, I was thinking of you as I used my Cricut this week. Have you ever considered creating writing fonts and designs (eg snowflakes) for use with a Cricut? That would be amazing if you did!

Can you put the BetterPress through your Empress, or does it have to be a manual machine?

You cannot use Betterpress with Empress. Can be used with spellbinders platinum 6, big shot, Gina k intricut. See spellbinders website for compatible machines.

The cards are beautiful ❤ But what is the difference between stamping and the better press?

I didn’t really highlight it here, but the BetterPress deeply presses the design into the paper. You can even use it without ink and get an embossed look. You can also use press plates in a Spellbinders Glimmer machine to foil the designs.

The post office says my cards are non-machinable and they need $1.12 non-machinable stamp. I am ok with this but wondering if I can use multiple stamps to equal that amount, instead of using the 1 non-machinable stamp sold at post office. Post office person was adamant that I purchase and use the $1.12 stamp but I’m wondering what others are doing. Seems Kristina uses multiple stamps and just thought I’d check with in this group. Thanks!

You just have to have a total of $1.12 (68 cents plus the 44 non-machinable surcharge). Using a non-machinable stamp sometimes is preferable because at a glance the post office knows it’s non-machinable. But you do not have to use it. You can just combine your postage so that the value covers the cost.
