The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State says the crisis in the state is a ploy by some people to use the House of Assembly to impeach the Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.
The chairman of the state's chapter of the political party, Anslem Ojezua, told Channels Television on Tuesday that the crisis started after some aggrieved members of the State House of Assembly visited the Nigerian President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan.
Mr Ojezua alleged that some APC lawmakers that defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who he said were making efforts to impeach the governor, were bought.
"What is playing out there is the fact that there are some individuals who feel that everybody must panda according to their caprices and that if things do not go their way then everything must be disrupted.
