Oh, I didn't even know this book existed. It's beautiful. It's so strange seeing Edward Gorey's illustrations in colour!

I had this as a boy 35 odd years ago - I've always remembered it for being so eerie and a little disturbing. I hope I can find a copy for my children now I am a father, much more thought provoking than the Frozen 2 pop up book or some such nonsense. ;-) Thanks for posting!!
