Ego is known for making some the highest quality and best performing battery powered outdoor power equipment. Their Blowers are widely known for amazing performance and when I saw that they were releasing a battery powered pressure washer, I was was very excited to get my hands on it. I had seen a few videos on this unit but I waited till it was available and purchased it from Lowes so I could get a real feel for the production model and give you my honest opinion on this unit. I test the performance with each nozzle and at each power setting. I also test the actual run time and make some recommendations to optimize this unit for washing cars... ENJOY!!!

Great review. Got mine a week or so ago and did my first wash with it the other day and its performance was OUTSTANDING. In short, if you are looking at a new pressure washer for your car or anything that will require a pressure washer this is IT. Thank you for letting me know about the 3.0 orifice as well. Will be getting one of the OG Mosmatic Nozzle with a 40-degree.

The EGO pressure washer is a perfect unit for those like myself who live in a rental community and either don't have access to running water or proper power. My detailing garage is about 50 feet away from my washpad and have setup a cart using a Worx Hydroshot the last two years but it has limitations. For one the hose is short and very stiff because because of the molded power cord from trigger to the motor plus the performance is lack luster but gets the job done. I'm less than two weeks away from ordering this for a major upgrade with the EGO!

Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.

Just bought the 2700 PSI Greenworks last year and this would have been great with my "EGO Ecosystem" of batteries. Thanks for the video and unfortunate good news lol Too bad they didn't bring this out last year. Not having the worry about one other cable to drag around sounds awesome, especially if you already own a leaf blower, mower or snowblower.

I’ve got the Ego mower, blower, trimmer and hedge cutter and love them. I have 2 batteries to run them and it works fine. For a pressure washer I don’t see the value in battery power, especially the high price and extra batteries. For me a corded electric pressure is fine and much less expensive.
@xringarcher1440
@xringarcher1440 3 күн бұрын
I love my ego power washer, it was a bit expensive but considering if you were to buy two of their 6 amp batteries separate, that’s $600 of product right off the rip, so the price is generally not too terrible. I have used mine up at my off-grid hunting camp where a garden hose is non existent. I did have to haul a bunch of water jugs up in my truck but the siphon hose attachment works perfectly when just dunked in a bucket or big pot full of water, I really like that aspect for off-grid useage. Ive got a solar system set up at my camp so I can charge the batteries as needed off my inverter, so no issue with power for me. Even so, I did buy two of the 12 amp hr batteries since I saw a 2 pack for a good deal. Hopefully that’ll extend the run time enough to not even have to switch batteries during a pretty long job

I've been using a Worx Hydroshot for the last few years, its not like a Kranzle but its really compact and gets the job done. For me as a weekend warrior living in a condo is one of the few solutions when the car gets a bit too dirty for a rinseless. After seeing this I'd say, if you have the space to store it, have access to water near the car and you don't have to go through ramps or stairs carrying stuff like me, this EGO one seems to be a way better option

Instinctively, everyone thinks that our battery powered unit would somehow be lower performance. The fact is, batteries can provide much higher current than your wall outlet can AND it’s DC current. The downside, of course is runtime. So, you can get Kranzle 240V performance, albeit only for about 15 mins, before you have to recharge.

Hi Josh, such a huge fan of your channel, one day I will win something! Anyway, do you think this will hold up for a mobile detailer day in/out? I was thinking about going the Eco/Anker power station route instead of a gas generator and an Ego layout with this and the shop vac, heck w/ the Anker you could put solar panels on the roof of your van and charge the power station as you work? Anyway, curious what you think the longterm usage of this will be.

Not for me, but it seems like a good unit for the person that's looking for something like this. My only concern would be the batteries - I have an Ego leaf blower that I use strictly for drying cars and I had to have the battery replaced once under warranty (less than a year after I bought it), and the replacement started acting up again last year but seems to have (hopefully) sorted itself out.

@josephnaras
@josephnaras 4 ай бұрын
Run time should be the same regardless. The run time is determined by power (in watts) used. Since this has no variable trigger and it is set power levels, as long as the system is running, it should be pulling consistent wattage regardless of the head, wand, or nozzle. Only thing to do to improve the run time is to use lower power settings or get bigger batteries

Battery might be expensive but it pays for itself. Also you can often sale the batteries from your kits or old batteries to offset cost. Like with any other tools and a bit of luck, you can catch all sort of sales throughout the years. Gotta pay a bit more for their quality and expertise. If you're invested, it's well worth it especially if you own a few 12ah batteries. With that said, The new pressure washer and wet dry vacuum is on the higher price but they do the job really well.

Hello, hopefully this message gets to you. Being a lithium ion battery, you should never fully discharge the battery. On the other side you also dont want to leave them on the charger for an extended time. I dont want to promote other websites, but let me know if you'd like resources that support the above information. Also recommended recharge for lithium ion is between 50 and 100 so if you finish up a job dont hesitate to throw it back on the charger to full charge and take off. Hope this helps!

I wonder if they'll try to make an air compressor. If they do that, for a mobile detailing setup I feel like you could eliminate a gas generator and run purely off of batteries, since they already have a vacuum, pressure washer, and air blower for drying. Am I missing anything that would need power in a mobile setup? And then if you have solar to charge those batts, you could be running off of free clean power. The question is how long it would take to pay all of that off versus just using the traditional setup. Not to mention a lot of homes will let you use their power.

Looks good. HD will definitely need to drop the price of theirs or at least throw in a battery kit. Otherwise the only people that will buy it will be people in the Ryobi battery system, but even then they may opt for a unit with much more power. One downside is selling a unit that uses two batteries, but the charger can only charge one at a time, but that's typical I guess. I had the same issue with my mower.

If you're doing driveways, stick to a gas unit.

Gotta look at it as a kit, each ego battery is expensive, so really its a great deal if you plan on buying more ego products. Batteries alone expensive af.

As an ego lawn products owner, no, their batteries are too expensive if something goes wrong. I think ego is over priced for most of their products.

I was happy with their lawn stuff I got years ago, but when the batteries started dying and I had to buy new ones, holy crap they are way to expensive, the 10ah I have for the lawn mower is 469 by itself. I will probably just go back to gas mower when this dies

Here’s my question, how long did the batteries last you? Did you store the batteries in the house or shed/garage? And did you leave them on the charger after being fully charged? The way i see it, youre spending just as much on gas as battery. The only difference is that one is paid in bulk while the other is pay over time. Let’s also not kid ourselves, gas goes bad overtime if left in the machine/can over the winter. Life span of gas is 3 months AND you gotta look at the octane level which affects the machine’s life span too.

So if you had to… you can buy off brand batteries. They work fine, and are a decent bit cheaper than egos batteries but they might have quality issues.
