The Egyptian Museum in San Jose is really a must see. There is a small fee to enter the main museum building but visiting the gardens is free of charge.

My favorite place as a child in the 70s. How my mother convinced me to go to my uncle's in mountain view. He lived a few blocks away.

I went here on a field trip when I was in elementary school. I vaguely remember every aspect of this museum but I remember looking down at one of the Coffins. I remember getting something from the gift shop, too!

That's great that your school took you there on a field trip. These days school field trips in San Jose end up only in Tech Museum
