Great video - very well done! I just installed Eibach Pro 2R - Truck (2.0) shocks on my 2009 4-wheel Toyota Tacoma. They are a larger diameter shock than the ones you installed. After I installed the shocks, the front end lift was nearly 3". The shocks were supposed to be factory set for a 2" lift. I found that after I drove with the shocks and allowed them to settle, the lift was nearly a perfect 2". So that may be what is happening with your installation. On the Pro 2R shocks, the lift height can be adjusted while the shocks are on the truck, which is a big plus. However, my shocks were twice as expensive as yours. I went with the larger shocks because I have a four-wheel drive, and the larger diameter shocks were recommended for off-road capability. However, on-road, the ride quality should be very similar to your shocks. Also, I kept the original upper control arm because I was only lifting the truck 2". I am very pleased with the ride that the Eibach shocks provide. The handling for the truck is superb, far better than OEM shocks. I almost get the feeling that I could race with these shocks. The ride is slightly firmer, and as you mentioned, I do feel bridge expansion joints when I run over them, but they are cushioned better than OEM shocks. For the most part, the shocks absorb the impacts from even poor, rutted pavement roads, which have a lot of bumps. They don't get everything, but they get around 95% of the bumps, and the truck floats over them. Overall, I am very satisfied with them. I am going to replace the tires and get the truck aligned, and this should also improve the ride. I am glad your truck is working well. Changing the suspension was not an easy job for me. Of course, having a lift is a great help. I wish you the best with your new suspension.

I had the first gen Eibach set up on a 2018 Sierra v8. Stiff at first then settled in perfectly.

The extra lift came from your truck having a lighter front end. A truck with a heavier v8 engine would have been a lot closer to the claimed 1.2 inches. I drive an F150 and the same thing happens with the 2.7L ecoboost because its lighter than both the coyote v8 and the 3.5L ecoboost.

The 1.2" is if you're NOT using the Eibach springs and reusing the factory springs. The instruction manual for the springs says the first clip is 2.6", the second clip is 3.4", and do not use the higher two clips when using Eibach springs.

Came down here to say this. He must not have read the full instructions to understand that the Eibach springs add additional lift to the adjustable strut height.

going with the eibach springs at first clip 2.6 should give you a leveled looked with the new rear height right?

I can't find anywhere that says that I look at the spring instructions and it still said 1.2 at bottom clip

To note the kit that he linked us to is for the 3.0L Diesel. There is a different kit for the 2.7L gas engine. The difference is the 3.0L is a lot heavier than the 2.7L so spring rates are probably different, as well as shock tuning. My question is should you buy the 3.0L diesel kit for the 2.7 and just set the spring clip lower. Instead of buying the 2.7L kit and maxing out the spring clip location.

Hold on, it seems you're saying you can't use the Eibach springs at any level? You said the 1.6 is for stock spring, then you said don't use on the next two clip settings? Maybe I'm confused

One thing I've always been told by a mechanics which is one reason your truck could be higher as you should not tighten up any of your suspension parts until the truck is back on the ground if you don't put the truck on the ground first all your bushings will wear prematurely

You never measure from the ground. Measure from the center of the center cap of the wheel to the fender trim.

Stock uca are good for up to 2” level on non trailboss. Above 2” or with extended travel coilovers you’ll want aftermarket
