About OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY:
We moved to our 11 acres in 2011 from a large city in the Midwest with zero carpentry and farming skills. We live with no solar / wind power / public water or well. We share our adventure to a sustainable life, growing our own food from vegetables to meat. We post videos DAILY and they range from HOW TO to EVERYDAY LIFE and NUTRITION on the off grid homestead. We were city folks just like you probably and wanted to enjoy life and have more control over our food. We share food recipes as well as natural remedies.

Furthermore they are backed with trials as effective against H1N1 variants, and the actual method the body utilizes it to stop viruses from getting into the lungs is clear now. Specific breeds of it are important, as well as understanding why it works so well. What breaks my heart.. is more people utilizing this would not have gotten worse with Covid.

Within 2 days he was feeling better after being very ill for a month. We take it daily. Don't want to be without elderberries! They are medicine from God.😊😊😊

Growing up on a farm in the 1960's my dad made Elderberry wine every year. He also made Elder blossom wine, both very unique flavors. He used honey to ferment them and got a17% alcohol content! I remember how thickly Elderberry grew along the railroad tracks. I have some Elderberry growing on my farm, but there was never enough to do anything with. Now I know how to grow and spread it, so that will change. Thank you !!

I love elderberries! I once made 5 gallons of wine out if it and WOW was that stuff medieval. Made me want to grab a whole turkey drumstick and eat it in one hand with a tankard of the wine in the other. I remember back in the mid 60's picking elderberries with my dad along the roadside, and then making jam. We used forks to strip the berries off the stems. Love the videos Doug and Stacy!

I love elderberries! This year was the first time that I made anything other than elderberry pie. I made elderberry cordial and was very pleased with the taste of it and definitely will use it this winter as an immune booster. The neighbor cut a tree that was on our line and apparently there was a healthy elderberry bush there that I never noticed. It took off as soon as it got some sunlight. I loved this video and am so inspired to raise more of my own elderberries. When I was young and the elderberries were in season, I would take a bag with me when I went for a horseback ride and pick enough for an elderberry pie.

When I lived in GA and had a construction company, one of our community grandmothers sent me a 1/2 gallon bottle of elderberry wine that she had made 10 years earlier. I kept it under the sink and when any of our guys called in sick with cold or flu, we'd have them come to the house, wrap up in blankets, drink 2 fingers worth of wine in a little mason jar, and then sleep. They'd wake up about 4 hours later, right as rain and ready to go. I personally LOVE elderberry jelly, we made it every summer when I was a kid. Ii currently have 3 elders in my front yard as part of our urban farmstead. Love your videos, thank you for all of your hard work.

Yep! That's the way to sweat what ails you right out of you. When you wake up clean off under the blanket with a warm, clean, soapy cloth, rinse and dry yourself off. Don't get in any drafts, stay warm. It's a wonder cure. Oh, yeah, *"I love Elderberries!"*

So happy to come upon your channel ! I have been trying to start to change my way of eating & living . My husband is 67 a smoker all his life & a pop drinker ! It's his morning coffee & throughout the day everyday ! He just found out that he has PVD and needs surgery. He hasn't decided yet whether or not to go through with it . He has a abdominal aortogram appt then he'll decide what or if he will have anything done . I got him to stop buying cigarettes, but he is rolling his own plain tobacco to ween himself off . The doctor prescribed a patch to help stop smoking but he would rather try to quit on his own . The elderberry video was so informative! I've been trying to find a replacement for his "pop" & the elderberry in sparkling water sounded great ! My husband will miss the fizz of the pop so maybe that would taste good to him . Bless you for your time & energy in providing such great info & council ! Pro 11: 14 Oh & I love 💕 love elderberries!

Patty Stigen Try some carbonated fizzy water. For the smoking; you might look into nicotine lozenges from drug store or Wal-Mart
@framerguy
@framerguy 6 жыл бұрын
I too was a heavy smoker back in the day and I can attest to one strong motivation for quitting besides the obvious ones, you HAVE to convince YOURSELF that it's time to QUIT!!! I quit smoking in the middle of one afternoon, in the middle of the second pack of the day, and I had one already hanging from my lips getting ready to light up. Why did I quit so spontaneously? I couldn't find a match! YES! My Bic ran out of fuel, I searched the kitchen drawers for a pack of matches, a wooden match, or anything I could get a flame from and nada! So I took the cig out of my mouth, stuffed it back in the pack, and threw the half pack up on the top of the cabinets in the kitchen and went outside to do some work. Just like that? ..... Yeah, just like that. I had been pondering how I would eventually quit, I knew it was bad for me, I knew others had quit, and I wanted to quit, in fact, tried a number of times but didn't stick to it. So, I guess it was that one event, a sign from Above, that it was finally time and that was that. It wasn't easy, at first I went through the usual withdrawal symptoms, I had thoughts of lighting up, I visualized my lips with a cigarette clamped between them, I had "cigarettes on the brain" for days, but this time I "sticktoitiveness" finally won out. It's been over 20 years now and I am so sensitive to tobacco smoke of any kind that I can smell someone smoking a pipe or cigar in a car 50 yards ahead of me on a highway, if the wind is just so, and I have the window open in my truck. I can pass a person on the street and know instantly if they smoke by the smell on their clothing. And a leather coat is twice as bad, the tobacco smoke smell hangs on a leather jacket with a disgusting tenacity that some people hang their leather coats and jackets out on the porch to air out after a night out on the town. And these are non-smokers also! I can assure any person who cures the nicotine addiction that they will be amazed at how gross the smell of smoke on anything including the whole interior of a house is with the stink of cigarette or cigar smoke residue. Take a tip from one who lucked out and cured himself of this terrible addiction, once you win the battle, the war will be over after a year or so of nicotine free breathing.

My dad was a smoker since we was 12 years old all until about six months before he die, a year before he die at age 65 I spent it with him and I was so praying that God would help me convince him from stop smoking so one day a Doctor lady on Naturopathy approached me through a friend a showed me a natural line of products which I found them to be interesting I started with their total body cleanse and to make the story short at that time I lost around 20 lbs just from the cleanse I had never done one before in my life as nd I was already 27 years old, what got my attention was a cigarette filters that were made out of or infused with green chlorophyl and chlorella alges, so my Father also got the total body detox, and I bought him one formulated for the lungs then he started using this so called filters that promise to cut off 50% of the exposure of the nicotine in the cigarettes, well a few days later my dad called me to see something and he showed me the filter he was using for a couple of days, it was so black and stinky my dad told me pray for me because I'm going to need help from God's and strength to stop smoking!!! He got so scared when he was able to see what he was putting in his body, few weeks later he had a respiratory difficulty and he stop smoking that day, he was so happy he told me know if I die I will feel happy because the Good Lord will pick me up! My dad die six months after from some blood clots that got stuck in his stomach and a big negligence from the hospital, but he was happy even in his dead bed he was ready to face God because he was no longer a smoker. So my prayers will be today for your Husband to find the strength he needs to stop smoking because with God all things are possible just need to make a leap of faith.

I LOVE ELDERBERRIES!!! Oh my gosh I loved this video!! I have to tell you truly Elderberry is such an amazing plant! It literally cleared up my grandkids allergies! I make them syrup from dried berries (I have to get them online right now) and give them a tsp everyday. They're little bitties so a tsp is what's recommended. Since taking the syrup no more runny noses, puffy little eyes, sore throats, none of it!!! It truly is an amazing plant! I am like Stacy it has a special place in my heart. My grandkids are my world and this is such a God send. I love the idea of adding cinnamon and clove to it too. Never thought of that. I just use the berries and honey right now. I may try a few with some Ceylon cinnamon and maybe a pinch of clove. Clove as we know can get strong so I'll see. Thank you so much for this. You guys are truly amazing and really one of the absolute BEST on KZfaq!!! Hands down. I love your enthusiasm and the love you show for not just each other but your viewers as well. I have an idea where mucus comes from which leads to cancers and other diseases, viruses, etc... even Alzheimer and dementia. I have an idea it is a part of different parasite stains that infest our bodies. I believe they probably or inherited from parent to child in some way. Scientist know that some parasites will combine with DNA and ate passed in that way. They also know there are types of liver cancers that come from certain parasitic infections. I personally think parasites are the base of all illness, bacterial and viral. It is just taking science to catch up and understand how they work.

FINALLY - I see why my elderberry bush has flowers but not berries! Sunshine or lack thereof. I've asked many different people, for several years, but he told me almost as an afterthought what I had wondered about for years. I've kept my bush small (placed on a fence with little sunshine, and just out of habit, kept sticking the cuttings in the ground under it. In time I have so many elderberry bushes I can't give them all away. I know I won't have a problem with the juice! And he mentioned free-radicals which I think my brother experiences so I'll be sharing this video with him for sure. THANK YOU SO MUCH! No matter which video of yours that I watch, I always learn something and with the few questions I have, you always answer. Bravo for you two - GREAT channel. Almost forgot, I have a steam cooker and found it amazing to use for getting beautyberry juice and wondered if I used it for elderberries, I would get rid of the bad and not kill off the good? I think steam goes above 160 F so probably not the way. Have you used Beautyberry juice for anything? Another prolific and beautiful wild plant.

36:00 Three years later.... I looove elderberries 😆 Anyway, there was a video you'd done more recently where Mr Terry came to your homestead, and man did that video get me excited! I used to buy a 2oz bottle of tunture for $12 all the time, happily because I knew I was doing better for my body than using big pharma products. Well, when I realized how easy it was to make it on my own, I started buying the dried (european) berries instead. I've never seen the plant in person but would hear about it in facebook groups every now 'n' then in local bike trail ditches. Your video sparked research that taught me how to identify it againt poisonous look alikes, and now I'm seeing it all over the place, in our city, and I get so excited and have to double back when I'm driving so that I can mark the GPS location to go back to for harvest in a few weeks. They are defintely on the list of plants I'm looking forward to growing when the Father moves out of of the city. Thank you for sharing your journey.
