Even if you don't use Smart Home or Home Assistant this may be on of the best ways to smarten up your home plants. We will look how it works with Elecrow App but also integrate it in Home Assistant by HACS custom component.

Really fancy getting one of these after following what Jonny has been up to. And also my plants do look like that 😂 A video on plant databases would be good I think, I use miflora with the openplantbook integration and it’s super useful

An open source plant database would be great! It could then be used by any sensor+pump system. I have the M5Stack moisture sensor + pump + esp32 with some regular automations, but finding the correct values for each plant is a bit of trial and error.

Nice!!! Is it cloud or local managed ? I mean if in the future the provider of the app fail and close we lose money of the product or can be continuously managed in the local network ?

It's local device, Elecrow app is connecting to it directly over WiFi network, and also, Home Assistant has local connection too.

How long is it the cable for each plant?

I think it's 1-1.5m for soil sensor. But I've ordered and waiting for extension for them (2m extension).
