Looks like a Z32 Nissan 300ZX. That might be a tricky one to work with, especially if it's got the adjustable suspension and 4-wheel streering. Those were famously designed with a supercomputer to achieve very tight packaging, so I don't envy trying to fit EV parts into the available spaces.

My name is Tom. For DC voltages, currents above 25 mA at 50 V are considered hazardous under normal conditions. Real danger starts around 80V for DC and 150V for AC. Yes, you can get electrocuted at lower voltages but you'd have to really work at it. It is perhaps worth noting that 12/24V DC is just as deadly as 120/240V AC under the right conditions. I had a friend get hung up on 24 volts DC and it almost killed him. Enough damage was done that he had to retire from being an electrician. I'm a retired Union journeyman electrician and when working around voltages that required rubber gloves, we used light cotton liners under the rubber gloves and fairly robust leather gloves over the rubber gloves. We tested the rubber gloves by blowing into then like a balloon to check for leaks. They were also lab tested every other year. You can't be too careful, especially if working alone. Really like watching your channel. Keep safe.

More progress on the MGA is great to watch! It is always interesting coming into a project that has already begun, without notes on what they were thinking and doing before. It is good that you are taking a systematic approach. Spending a little more time now will definitely pay off later.

Quite cool to see the difference between your level of work and how comparatively poorly the MG was done thus far. Also it’s very inspiring to see how much you can learn to do if you just give it a proper try. Keep up the good work and looking forward to next episodes!

Hii! I commented on one of the last videos about the editing and storytelling and maybe repeating yourself. This video felt a lot more to the point :) What I was referring to last time is sth like at 8:11 - 8:18 and 9:57 - 10:05 where you say pretty much exactly the same thing and the 2nd part could easily just be left out. But all in all, this one felt really good :) It showed progress, you showed what was happening or explained it, so one could easily follow and also the split screen thing works wonders to show what's happening without wasting time on showing the entire process. Thank you for listening to feedback

Good to see the use of safety gloves where appropriate. A couple tips though, If you go with class 0 gloves, rated to a lower voltage, only 1500VDC or so, they will be thinner and give you more dexterity (less expensive too). Also, you should usually use leather protectors over the gloves to protect them from being torn, ripped or punctured. When disconnecting batteries, or live bus bars, consider wearing PPE for arc flash protection. Think for a second about what could happen if you dropped the bolt, bus bar etc. and it fell in the exact worst place possible. People usually think about shock hazards, but a short circuit can cause an arc flash expelling hot gas and molten metal. Eye and face protection should be worn at an absolute minimum. Choose the appropriate level of protection based on the task at hand. Great job by the way on the wiring harness. I can't tell you how many times I've found manufacturer wiring or documentation incorrect. Sometimes you just have to be patient, take your time, and trace it out. Be sure to document your wiring and print changes for the next poor soul that has to work on it in the future. You never know when that person might be you.

PPE... you want to get covers for those HV gloves. Those are the inserts and meant to be covered for abrasion protection. Also, make sure you're using proper procedures to test them before use. HV can snake through even the tiniest pinhole so you need to keep those things in good shape.

13:40 Some types of cell like being under pressure, that's why you have those screws. We're talking thousands of cycles either way though.
@ElectricSuperCar
@ElectricSuperCar 3 ай бұрын
For this battery box, the screws do not put any pressure on the cells. Just fastening the sides to the bottom. There is air gap to the cells.

Also, in the case of dual motor, how it connects to each other to have AWD fully functional? Sorry if it sounds novice, but it is a new technology for me. Thank you again.
