The Eleglide Citycrosser E Bike.
Eleglide kindly sent this bike to me for free to show on my channel.
I have given an honest appraisal of this Ebike which I found to be very good.
I am impressed by it light weight and excellent rolling resistance which means it pedals very efficiently and easily even without the motor assistance.
For more info on this bike and other Eleglide products please follow the link below:

Here's a discount code: 60 EUR off - BY60

I’ve had an Ebike for three years Sandy , now I’m able to ride around for exercise and get out and about . I’m 70 so hills and headwinds a lot easier , if I didn’t have an Ebike I probably would be bothered so great for me 😊

It's a practical bike Bry, It has mudguards, the provision for a rear rack, the motor flattens the hills and cancels out the headwind:) For my long multi day trips I would still take my human powered bike, but for a shopping trip are an afternoon bimble then this is a beautiful bike indeed

I have four e-bikes - all foldable for better storage -2 bromptons and 2 Treks - they are shared by 3 family members . You end up doing more cycling with e-bikes and you actually get a lot more exercise as a result . I absolutely love them and anyone at my age should ( 60s ) should just get one . I have spare batteries too and you can go in a long trip with a spare battery and charger because they can haul a lot of luggage - The Bromptons are great for train journeys and exploring cities and the Treks for country tours .They have opened up a great deal of fun for us all . The Brompton is excellent for shopping - you can nip out - walk round a store with it folded or unfolded and get home with provisions without having to drive a 1tone car ,park it and burn fuel . Highly recommended- BTW GREAT VIDEO !!

Hi Sandy, a great start off review. I bought a secondhand e-bike last year (more like Dave's) and i commute as much as I can on it. Leaving at just after 5am and over 10 miles each way. I wanted to cycle but did not fancy 20mile and monster hill after work ! I've now done over 700 miles and love it to bits still ! (I always look forward to my ride home even in the rain). These Eleglide bikes, are cheap and light plus if you needed a second battery (longer range) it makes it more affordable. Also more affordable for more people, which is great news. Well done and look forward to see how you get on. I will do a review on my bike on youtube. But I'm still a little shy of my voice at this stage. Also hat off to your stunt man Dave ! take care Grant.

I enjoyed this review Sandy, So much I bought myself a Citycrosser from eleglide on the strength of how good you felt it performed, I'm not new to e-bikes have been riding back and forth to work for a while!! I've had a full hip replacement a few years back from playing sport, and these bikes allow me to enjoy cycling again!! Thanks for the review 😀👍
@WiltshireMan
@WiltshireMan Жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, I have found it a good bike, the motor isn't powerful but gives enough oomph to assist and makes headwinds and hills a lot easier, also because the bike is light weight with decent wheels and low rolling resistance I find it easy to keep up a good pace, generally quicker than my other Ebike which is a fat tyre style machine. The City crosser also shares a lot of components with standard bikes so should be cheap and easy to maintain. I hope it works well for you. I have recently been diagnosed with a degenerative hip and will need a replacement at some future point. Thankfully cycling doesn't seem to cause too many issue's.
@IansRCExploits
@IansRCExploits Жыл бұрын
Aww that's a bit of bad luck!! But you are lucky cycling doesn't play your hip up!! Before I had my hip done I could hardly walk let alone cycle!! I had lot of bikes!! 2 racing bikes and a mountain bike that I sold, didn't think I would ever be able to cycle again!! But that's the great thing with the e-bikes they give me chance to enjoy cycling again!! You have a great channel that both myself and my girlfriend love to watch!! We enjoy all the aspects of your channel, the camping and the motor bikes!! But I especially enjoy the cycling content 😀👍

I was quite excited to see just the unboxing as last time I got a brand new bike was from saving up money from my paper round 😀 I got a Raleigh Montage and loved it to bits. Amazing bits of kit those E-bikes. I rode one on Orkney and it made the hills a cinch. Only letdown was the range was poor. When disengaged it would make sense for a dynamo function to recharge the battery as you pedal normally

Need to do what many others have done in Swindon in de restricting the controller to enable 50mph without pedalling. Essentially making it a unregistered motorbike. I don't think our police have picked up on this.

That's just asking for trouble. Most of the cycleways where I live have combined footpaths and mixing speeding cycles and pedestrians with children and dogs is asking for trouble. There is no way to de-restrict the Eleglide Citycrosser as the motor it's self doesn't have much more power in reserve

My ESKUTE Netuno E-bike which paid £1000 for motor failed in less than two month. The 250w bafang motor cogs gear works but does not move the the wheel. Eskute sent me a new motor but both do the same thing. I had the wheel on and off over 6 times now and no luck. The only thing i can think of is some how the motor is going backwoods in freewheel. Maybe some thing wrong with the control. Its been alost two months with out use of it which i need for work. If they dont sort it out soon i been making a credit card charge back. Not great first impression of e-bikes.

Mud guard was completely bent and would be impossible to ride without rubbing and i've lost my rag and flung it in the shed. Had enough for one day, going to have another pop tomorrow with just the rack without the mud guard. I'm 5ft 10 and there is still some seat post adjustment so I think you should be OK with this bike, It is quite a cheap bike, someone told me they brought one for less than £800 which is a very good price for an ebike

wish i'd of watched his video before putting it together, i have to watch my words but 2 hours later and worse off than when i started. put it all together following the manual and then it says to attach the wired in front light i need to have the basket on, which required taking the front wheel off AGAIN. Mud guard was completely bent and would be impossible to ride without rubbing, i've lost my rag and flung it in the shed. Had enough for one day, going to have another pop tomorrow with just the rack without the mud guard. Also said absolutely zero about max weight capacity when purchasing and the manual states it's 120kg, luckily i'm 105kg. I'll ride without the rack tomorrow, although you say the frames well made the fitting are utter garbage.
@WiltshireMan
@WiltshireMan 9 ай бұрын
I hope you can get your bike sorted Dale, mine has been OK, the rack isn't the sturdiest thing though but is solid enough to carry some light loads. Don't rush things, the manual wasn't too clear if I remember!

What gets me about ebike and ecars and battery banks etc is the lifespan of the things. A manual bike can last you for life, a car for life. It's like the wind turbines that have a 20 year lifespan.. where do they go? Turbines have to be buried, can't be recycled and cycle batteries where do they go after 3 to 5 yrs??? How is that saving the environment??

Lovely bike Sandy...but glad I got the Himiway Cruiser, as the heart and Statin drugs caused horrendous damage to my joints and muscles. I love the extra torque on mine, but am well impressed with the light weight frame you have on this one. How did those narrow tyres cope with the slippery mud? Found the fat tyres on mine great and harder to puncture...think mine will help me get out as a cargo bike for my hammock etc, with lots of water included
@WiltshireMan
@WiltshireMan Жыл бұрын
The Himiway has much more power Steve and also a more durable bike, the Citycrosser is meant for the roads only but can do a farm track or bridle way if you go steady. The Himiway is the tractor of the ebike world
@stevetaylor8446
@stevetaylor8446 Жыл бұрын
@@WiltshireMan I do love a tractor 😂 And now got a two wheeler. Think with me, the only worry is the disc brakes...made of metal, it can still rust no-matter how much care you take. And there's also a company out there now fitting hydrolic brakes as standard at a great price. The ebike industry is definitely moving forward and if it weren't for you and Mandy, I'd still be looking at only a few overnighter a year, when picked up in a friends car, or a riskier stealth camp by public transport. This has given me the ability to actually get out and not spend my remaining few years in bed. Looking forward to seeing you out on these bikes. And a big thank you to you and Mandy, for showing that it's possible

I was sold until I looked up its chinese😢. I never buy mechanical stuff from China been burnt too much on motorbike parts. Bad rep in the motor trade too. I'd be interested in its durability over a year, won't hold my breath.
