What a match! For a long time, it was believed that matches in clay surface, would have to be exausting rallies from the court baseline. Elena showed that net attack could be sucessfull based on effective shot approaches and volley technique! Great come back Elena!

Elena’s weakness- no driver license. She is such a lady in the court. No yelling, no smashing, no argument, no drama, just pure tennis skills, like Federer. Nerves of steel, never looking down or screaming at her corner, on top of that, beautiful. The WTA should expose her more, make her the poster child. We need her in more interviews, she is obviously a very smart strategist tennis player.

Wow! This was a classic match between an offensive player versus a defensive player! Can the offensive player keep their errors in check or can the defensive player run down enough balls and play enough cagey shots to win?? Both fought hard! Very entertaining match! I thought Yulia had it for sure, but Elena hung tough and battled for the win! Congrats! Yulia would be one of my favorite players if it weren't for her consistent sour attitude! I can certainly understand her frustration with this loss, however. I can understand Elena's frustration when things weren't going her way. That's very unusual for her to display, however... I can identify as I have lost to defensive players due to my own errors!
