Elena is the athlete and she loves playing Tennis. Not difficult to coach. Elena is intelligent and intuitive. The overall points the coach is making are to be made and done over the athletes' longer term strategic goals implementation and developmental arc. A good Coach builds upon the strengths of his Student from the points where they are at, not by imposing his thoughts and subdueing rhose of the Athlete. Change in an athlete happens over some time but always begins within and specifically within the mind and desire, where games are won or lost. Nurturing a professed athlete's self belief is not that difficult as it is already there and resides and bounces between the heart and mind. A respectful nurturing strategy builds on that through careful approaches and appraisals that acknowledges the athletes innate and existing pluses. This approach minimizes resistance from impositions and allows trust and buy-ins, for coaching is essentially respectful team-work and partnering of persons with and around athletic promise and exhibited potentials. Elena is most distinguishingly top potential and promise; she needs wise accompanyment in the how-to, when, why and what-else departments forward. 🤔🤓

Try to give yourself a simple goal of going crosscourt 2 out of 3 times and have someone count for you from the side of the court, without telling you the totals until the end. Then repeat with a goal of 1 out of 4. This assuming you do the same on both wings.
