Thoughts on the brief live action moments? . . Ngl thinking back it kinda took me out of it. Background stuff would have been fine but would have preferred they’d animate spoiler and the other scenes from the movies

Miguel is either wrong or lying to Miles. He's caught in a paradox. Assuming that Miles is an anomaly, he isn't a true Spiderman. Therefore, he should not have a canon event: There is no need to let his dad die to protect the multiverse. Otherwise, If his dad's death is required to protect a Canon event, then it means Miles is not an anomaly and is a true Spiderman.

The Spider-Verse franchise is proof that we are not tired of superhero movies, we are tired of bad superhero movies.

If I have any nitpicks, and I mean ANY nitpicks, this film ought to have a warning label for those who are prone to epileptic seizures. That one aside, IT'S PHENOMENAL

What I love about this movie is you just can't take anything for granted. Hobie is used as a gag in his opening scene and then it slowly falls away and reveals that of everyone in the story, HE is the one that supports what Miles is doing the most. His character is EVERYTHING Miles is gunning for - freedom, breaking down the system and finding your own path.

One of my favorite things about this movie is the fact that even when Miguel just outright insults Miles' existence, Miles doesn't give an F and keeps going. Sure, it kind of traumatizes him during his swing sequence but he just continues to stand up for himself rather than angsting on it for the third act.

I love how Spider Punk is depicted as this instigating force for good in this movie, because yeah, the message feels very punk. ‘Don’t accept horrible things happening because ‘thats just the way it works’’ is an essential essence of Punk IMO, and Hobie being the pure embodiment of Punk that he is helps Miles down that road of saying ‘fuck this, i decide my own story regardless’. Im just happy that Hobie, and Punk in general, was represented so fucking well in this movie and embodies why i LIKE punk in the first place. Made me feel very warm and happy inside. And ‘its a metaphor for capitalism’ called me and my writing out hardcore

The use of colors during Gwen’s backstory blew me away. They express emotion unbelievably well. Every frame was a painting, and I'm not exaggerating. Gwen’s world in particular was a visual feast. This movie was a literal masterpiece.

What I found sort of intriguing is how the live action No Way Home movie was showed MCU Spider-Man the consequences of defying determinism, “wanting to have it all while the world made him choose”. while this movie seems to be about miles motivating himself to defy determinism.

I think a lot of the “I’m going to do my own thing” is the writers and creators interjecting their own philosophy about art. Spiderverse has unconventional animation, it uses previous material to morph and transform into their own unique thing-even making an explicit point to how they’re deviating from the canon and “doing their own thing” through Miles. Hell, Spot was a pretty forgotten and kind of weak villain in the comics, and now he’s arguably one of the most powerful and menacing villains in popular superhero media. They changed his entire backstory: he entered his own portal he’d created in the comics, as opposed to being caught in the explosion of the collider in Spiderverse. Probably one of the most conceptually terrifying villains overall too, IMO. Spiderverse is rated PG, but squeezes out a lot of content you’d think would be rated higher, such as swearing a few times (not complaining, just observing lol). This second movie, ESPECIALLY, is not afraid to include political messages and symbols: both subtly through background signs/etc., and through Hobie as an entire being tbh. Spiderverse isn’t the typical animated movie. THBH I’m not sure if could be considered a kids movie anymore either-not because kids shouldn’t watch it, I’d say anyone over the age of 5 should-but rather because it’s deliberately a movie meant to connect with and appeal to ALL AGES. Usually this is done by having separate messages and plot lines that are slotted together-working well, but not melded into one universal message. Spiderverse, however, tells stories and gives messages that anyone of any age can understand and relate to. Defining who you are and what you want in life is a part of EVERYONE’S lives, and they will experience that at different times, maybe even multiple times in one life. And that’s what I really love about this movie. It’s breaks the conception in our heads of what an animated movie should be. It’s not a kids movie, it’s not an adult animation, or YA movie, or even a *Spiderman* movie in a sense. Spiderverse is Spiderverse. This series is it’s own-each movie is just it’s own movie, not a subcategory.

"Nah. Imma do my own thing." That line is going to *_DEFINE_* who Miles Morales is as a character going forward. Where as previously it was "that's all it is Miles. A leap of faith." Before it was someone else who helped define him. Now, he's defining himself. They've done a great job at setting up the fact he does things his way; he doesn't just swing across NYC he runs, he does parkour cause that's what MILES is good at and loves to do. His god damn shoelace is still untied in that iconic falling/rising shot. He openly challenges Miguel where most everyone just seems to blindly follow. He does graffiti and tags places across NYC. His own suit is a showcase of who he is and what he loves to do. And it breaks the mold of what a traditional Spider-Man suit looks like and how it's often made. Miles at his core is about redefining what it means to be Spider-Man; that he isn't JUST Spider-Man. He's Miles Morales too. Which is something the other spiders seem to forget. That Peter had to be reminded of. That you can be both the person under mask, and the hero. I think they're going to set it up to have him finally break the curse of Spider-Man. And it's going to be amazing to witness.

I had no opinion on Spider-Man India before this movie, and now I need an entire film trilogy starring him complete with Bollywood musical numbers.

Miles and Gwen are a LOT cuter here than in the first film, not that their portrayal was bad!! It’s just that you get to see their relationship through *both* of their perspectives. In the first film, we only see Miles crushing on Gwen since the story is primarily told by his point of view. We get some instances of where Gwen seems like she might be interested, but nothing fully concrete, and the end really painted it out as the two “just being friends.” But as SOON as the new film opens up, we get a glimpse into Gwen’s perspective of the first film, and you could absolutely see her regret going back and leaving miles. And throughout the entirety of the prologue the second film, we see her absolutely PINING for Miles and that the relationship was indeed very much reciprocated. It’s just that, as we come to learn, she distances herself from people she cares about to avoid hurting them. This is readily apparent when she mentions to Miles, “In every other universe, Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-Man…” And as Miles moves in closer, Gwen notices, and deflects with, “…and in every other universe, it doesn’t end well,” causing Miles to cease his reach. What absolutely pains me about this is the fact that she has access to the Multiverse. So she has probably come across tens, if not, hundreds of the universes with Gwen and Spider-Man. And she more than likely saw most of them ending happily. Rio, Miles’ mother’s words echo through these scenes and likely in the future: “Never doubt that you are loved.” She does love you man. ❤

When I was watching this in the theater everyone in the audience started cheering when Lego Spider man appeared. Wish we saw more of him interacting with the other spiders

The biggest take away I got from the movie was how they handle 'canon', saying 'this needs to happen', 'this person needs to do', like it's a commentary about how writters keep trying to make Spidey more 'interesting' by piling one more tragedy. For miles to go out against every spider man, most of which are versions of peter parker that have grown content with the idea that they can't save everyone, to me at least, tells me...Spider man doesn't HAVE to be defined by tragedy. Miles lost his uncle, but he still has both his parents, something unique to most spider men, even to most super heroes. Sure spider man has struggles to over come, but we as an audience are just as invested in his win's as we are with his struggles. We WANT good things to happen to spider man.

Never thought I'd live to see The Spot be a bigger threat to the multiverse than Kang the Conqueror.

Fun Fact: There was a deleted scene between 2099 and Miles when 2099 called Miles the "original Anomaly". Miles responded saying "maybe the real anomaly was the kids we lost along the way...?". Hearing this, 2099 went apeshit as Miles laughed and did the peace out disappearing meme.

I was so nervous about the potential love triangle, I almost physically sighed in relief when Hobi turned out to be pure badass. I love all these characters so much, they exceeded every expectation

Spider-Punk is so amazingly written. Mixing the 1970s british Punk Rock culture with his amazing style of animation is so beautiful to watch. it shows that the animators not only care about the characters, but the cultures and communities they arise from. 11/10 movie

Miguel really blamed Gwen for letting miles go even tho every Spiderman in the spiderverse failed to catch him.

Hobie was one of my favorites without a doubt. The setup that we’re supposed to dislike him because he’s potentially getting more comfortable with Gwen than Miles is. Only to realize that he was the only one who was behind miles the whole time.

Interestingly enough the argument Miles has with Miguel is the same one Peter (the original one) had with Miguel in one of the Spider-Man games, goes to show just how well Miguel’s character works even like 10 years later Miles here is a true successor to Peter in a multiverse where the true values of Spider-Man have been lost in translation thanks to Miguel’s fear I just hope Miguel doesn’t die and gets to realize his mistake

Just want to get this outta the way. No huge spoilers When Spider-Man India (no joke, that’s what he’s called on IMDB) talks about what chai actually means, I got the feeling that that was on someone’s pet peeve list for the longest time. And I respect whoever wrote it in.

I really like Spot, and how while he seemed like a joke at first, he gradually became more threatening as the film progressed. But it was weird how he just disappeared in the second half.

As an artist, that dreams of going into the animation industry, I wanted to screen cap this entire movie. Every single frame was an absolute masterpiece, and all deserve to be turned into lock screens.

The way he explained how it would leave you in a chokehold after you left the theatre, literally happened to me.

I just appreciate that these movies are helping remove the stigma that animated films can’t be emotionally powerful and enjoyable to all audiences. I’m still annoyed the Oscar’s have a animated section as if it’s a genre when it’s really a medium for any genre.

What's amazing about hobie's "paper-cut out" is that it means *even he himself is stolen from other things/pieces*

I like how Hobie and Miles are very similar in the sense they are their own people, although when are first introduced to Hobie it shows very much that he isn’t like any other spider man. Miles knows he’s different but he doesn’t know how exactly while Hobie knows who he is and how he is different. Then in the film Hobie pushes Miles to “Make his own watch” and become his own person as Hobie has already made a watch of his own. That’s why I appreciate Hobie, he was the most honest Spider-Man!

The Spot's fumbling at the start of the movie reminded me of Miles' stumbling when his powers first emerged in the first movie. And, like Miles, Spot just needed some experience to fully blossom.

This movie not only surpasses the original in every way, but it also feels its a meta commentary on the nature of Spider-Man comics and the comic book industry as a whole. The very fact that Miguel is obsessed with ensuring that moments that are literally called "canon events" feels like its taking a jab at how comic publishers/ editors believe that certain status quos must always be maintained along with believing that the only way a hero can grow as a character is by having someone in that hero life die. Yet Miles serves as the audience surrogate who believes that such thinking is inherently flawed. This don't have to be set in stone, and a hero can grow without needing to kill someone in their life. This is more relevant then ever considering how Kamala death in the current Amazing Spider-Man run is complete bullshit.

I think my favorite moment of across the spiderverse was actually just one specific cameo in the big chase sequence. It was when Sun Spider (the spider person who was using a wheelchair then crutches briefly) appeared. It makes me incredibly happy to see a disabled character looking as cool and being just as quippy as the other spiders, but also just seeing a character who has the same disability as me on screen (or at all really) was incredible. I genuinely can't think of a single other piece of media that at all portrays a character with Ehlers Danlos, and it just feels so comforting to see, even for just a moment.

MY HEART DROPPED TO THE FLOOR WHEN I SAW THE PLOT TWIST (The only brightside of being slow like me is that you never see plot twist coming so it *REALLY HITS* when you see it)

The way the spots backstory ties so well with this movie is amazing. The way he connects himself to Miles as a a way to actually be hurt and disrespected in such a way. The bagel that Miles threw is the same bagel that hit the spot in the previous movie.

Just the way the color tones were constantly changing as emotions were developing to suit the scenes between Gwen and Gwen's father was fuck*ng beautiful.

Everyone expected Hobie to be the side character to steal Gwen from Miles, but he's actually one of the fewer ones to clearly help miles

in my opinion the ending is absolutely CRAZY, finding out this twist made me feel things just as much as any final fight could, and Spot definitely earned an entire movie dedicated to trying to stop him rather than a 20-30 minute final act

I remember watching this in theaters with a friend like two days ago, and when the spot blamed Miles for his condition I went "I bet he was the bagel guy" to my friend, and as soon as It was confirmed I went, "I KNEW IT! He's the bagel man! **realizing gasp** because he's full of holes :)" and we both had to avoid laughing out loud in the middle of a crowded theatre.

The sheer silence in my theater when the last shot happened just echoed my disbelief in the direction they decided to take the movie

I am completely blown away with how much love, professionalism and talent that went into this film. This is one of those films that you have to see it in theaters at least once. You won't catch every little detail but what you do catch is just amazing. Like the fight between Miguel and Miles. Miguel had more experience than Miles, but one thing that Miles does have is the element of surprise. Miguel does not have spidey sense, so he gets caught off guard with sneak attacks and he can't react as fast as the other spiderman. Miles seems to be aware of this and only attacks from a distance or trying to get away from Miguel. Until he builds enough strength to send Miguel downward towards the other spidermen. They could have easily gave Miguel spidey sense, but they stayed true to the comics and ir made for some interesting and unique fight scenes. I also just realized. "With Great power comes great responsibility." How can you really call yourself a hero if you are okay with letting someone die to serve the greater good. When you have the responsibility to protect all, at the very least try to help people.

Honestly I'm so happy about Hobie, he's the best punk representation I've seen in years; punk characters are usually just boiled down to angsty pretentious angry emos with a punk label slapped on them, but he was truly well done and a breath of fresh air

I really loved how they gave Gwen a lot more development and backstory over the course of the film. Miles is obviously the main character and the story is about him but Gwen really feels like a co-protagonist. The chemistry between the two of them is also spectacular.

Fun Fact: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller revealed that they told Sony the sequel would be the same size as Into the Spider-Verse but it ended up having the largest crew of any animated movie ever with around 1,000 people working on it.

Gwen loves miles so much the scenes with both of them are just great they really mesh well together and the writing for them is great

I kept thinking the same thing, that part of what fuels Miguel's angry towards for Miles where he finally lased out at him was the idea that seeing Miles successfully become spiderman from spider that "wasn't suppose to be there" inspired him to take the risk and that perhaps it had been after his personal tragedy that he established the whole "canon event" ideology and re-evaluated his judgement of Miles as his universe's spiderman. Considering that we know that Peter B Parker was witness to Miguel's variant universe destroying itself I feel like it also possible he helped to encourage Miguel's decision too as Miguel makes a point of saying "isn't that right Peter?" when he says he had been wrong.

The great thing about this film is even if you aren’t a Spider-Man fan, you can appreciate the incredible animation A true work of art

These Spider-Man animated movies are truly taking animation to the next level and never fails to continue inspiring other studios. They made it better than the first one, which a near impossible feat in on itself, and pass in flying colours. Absolute mad production!

So if, from Miguel's POV, Miles is an "Anomaly", wouldn't all of his actions and the events that occurred afterwards count as anomalies, such as oh idk HELPING PETER B. PARKER WORK UP THE COURAGE TO GET BACK WITH MARY JANE? If every event since Miles becoming a Spiderman wasn't supposed to happen, doesn't that mean according to Miguel's whole status quo thing, that Mayday shouldn't exist? Peter B. would've never had his "leap of faith" moment without Miles at the end of the first movie. The man was fully prepared to DIE to stop Kingpin. Just some food for thought :)

The bits with Toby and Andrew actually stunned me into silence. And I really loved how the first 15-20 mins were all about Gwen. Her ballet style movement is so graceful and appealing to watch, because it works so well with her white, pink and black outfit, fly like a butterfly sting like a bee works for her perfectly. The Vulture was phenomenal, the art style made my jaw drop. And Spots power and design was actually super creative and the more I thought about it and the further i got in the movie the more overpowered and broken I realised his power was. The end credits with him Vs Miles with Spot a Kaiju sized monster was so badass.

I love the mixing of art styles in this series. I like the watercolour look of Gwen's universe and the strong and vibrant colours of Miles's. I like how his suit pops so much in his colourful comic world. I love Hobie's unorthodox style accentuates his movements and, as a result, his actions! These movies are absolute eye candy.

In the first movie you can see when Miles first meets Peter instead of the red and blue spider-sense, Miles had the colours of the prowler next to his head which changed when they looked at eachother showing how this just changed his fate. Just shows the attention to detail these writers and animators are putting into these films you gotta respect it.

Spot's fight scenes are by far some of my favourite uses of portal powers that I've ever seen. He constantly moves both himself and his opponent with them to control the flow of the fight while attacking from all angles to catch them by surprise.

I love how natural the ending is specifically Prowler mile's earth when Miles reveals to Rio he's spiderman she just plays it off as a joke and tells him they both have bigger things to deal with. Then we see Aaron is alive here...but there's something off about him from his eyes to the way he helps Rio. Than he talks to Miles like he always would but than he notices that things are different and when he talks to him about robbing a place you can see that he can tell somethingis wrong. Than we're on the roof it's not the same bright community we saw before. It's dark and cold and whatever light we see isn't warm and inviting it's intimidating and hot like it can burn you. After Miles gets knocked out and we're in the apartment Aaron looks at him

SPOILER COMMENT IN RESPONSE TO SPOILER SECTION Please skip over this if you don't want to be spoiled in anyway. Please and Thank you in advance. Prowler Miles doesn't disprove Miguel's statement to MC Miles being an anomaly, but actually proves it. Since more than likely Prowler Miles like it was mentioned was supposed to be Spiderman there. Lending credit to the line that there's a universe without a Spiderman thanks to MC Miles. Next its not the fact that Miles Morales isn't suppose to be Spiderman, its that Specifically, Earth - 1610 Miles Morales as the Movie puts it, is an anomaly that wasn't suppose to be Spiderman. I think hitting hard and giving more credit to his mothers line about being where people love and want him there.

I was not prepared for that film and it made me believe in cinema again. I haven't been this excited after a film since I saw Lord of the Rings in theaters. I immediately wanted to buy another ticket and see it again

This is the Two Towers of the Spiderverse films, and part of that means having the hardest job. ITSV was the Fellowship of the Ring, a total game changer that took us into new territory and hyped us up for what could come next, BTSV is being set up as the epic conclusion where this has all been leading, and thus ASTV is stuck in the unenviable position of 1) meeting everyone's expectations (which it did) 2) introduce us to a bunch of new characters while giving the appropriate amount of attention to our original cast (did it), 3) provide sufficient heightening of stakes to justify its position as connective tissue between the first and third movies (did it). This is a freaking phenomenal piece of art and it's going to be real hard to top this year for animated films - Nimona, Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken, Wish, the ball is in your court.

This movie was simply awe-inspiring, it is literally my favorite movie ever. I loved every second of it!

The "Nah, Imma do my own thing" scene and quote go so hard

Just got back from my 2nd viewing and only now realising that this segment (07:05) from the 1st trailer wasn't even in the movie & is probably actually from Part II. By the time I stop being hyped the next trailer will release and then before I know it I'll be March

I highly highly recommend rewatching the first movie after watching the second. Without getting into spoilers, there's several things that I barely even noticed which the second movie makes incredibly important, there's certain character paths which I didn't even realize were being set up, and overall it just makes me love this universe even more. I will, however, disagree with Sarcastic Chorus at 9:40 (in the spoiler section, so be careful). I think Miles absolutely is, as it also flows well with the first movie on a rewatch. However, I don't think that's a bad thing. I think it's a new chance for self definition across all the spider-people.

I wish we got more Animated Marvel/DC Movies could you imagine a Batman Beyond movie in this style?

I was honestly kind of surprised at how much better the animation was then the first. I literally didn't think they could perfect it even more, but they did!!! So excited for the last part!! 😆😆

My biggest complaint is that miles is the only one of all of this multiverse of spidermen who isnt ok with allowing people to die for “character development” in cannon events. This seems like something that is fundamental of the character of spiderman no matter what universe, that they would do everything they can to prevent others from going through the trama that they endure and I cannot comprehend other versions of spiderman we know and love being complicit in Miguel’s actions and beliefs

I think we do know that canon events can be stopped and the movie told us this explicitly. When Gwen traveled to miguels universe, she left (which wasn't supposed to happen), and her dad stopped being captain. Presumably, I think the movie is trying to point out that this CHANGED a canon event, but the universe still exists. Gwen realizes this and its why she decides that she is going to form a team to help miles and stop miguel. Think about it unless gwen had proof that canon events can be changed, why would everyone join her in the end.

I think this is the first part of a Free Will Versus Predestination story. Miguel has made his choice in the fear of losing too much, even though if he had knowledge beforehand, he probably would have done anything to protect his nearest. Any of the Spider- heroes would. Maybe I'm wrong.

I absolutely loved the therapist part of the movie 😂 Little nods like that are everything to me

My main nitpick with the film is that it acts like that Miles is the ONLY spider to not immediately side with the Spider Society. It feels like a cheap effort to make him more special in comparison to everyone else. The movie expects me to believe that most spider people would just let someone die, but I don’t buy it. Hopefully, Part 2 expands on this somehow, because I really don’t like narratives that make other characters look worse in order to lift up the protagonist.

I was freaking out in the theater. My boyfriend was the one to get me into the spiderman world and he was recently complaining, along with a ton of other people, about how the spider story is tired. We never see them grow up or be adults. Hole is literally the plothole in the Spidey multiverse keeping the status quo. My boyfriend hasn't watched it yet and it's eating me inside. I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH

8:17 is a really good point. I feel the quote from Tobie Moguire's spiderman something along the lines of "Not my problem" and letting the dude go up the elevator is what comes to mind.

This movie was simply fantastic from top to bottom, never did I think the Into the Spider-Verse could be topped in terms of story, animation, and overall hype. Yet here I am buying my second IMAX ticket to see this film again! I reviewed the film on my channel with my colleagues, and I feel the same exact way going in for my third watch as I did for my initial one in terms of enjoyment. THE BAR FOR ANIMATED FILMS HAS BEEN RAISED AGAIN!!

I had just finished viewing ATSV and absolutely loved it! (Small Spoiler regarding the ending, please read with caution!) Me and a couple of friends were discussing about the movie, until one of them pointed out a potential clue from the first film that showed Miles potentially set for the Prowler’s path in his dimension. After getting bit and going back to find the spider that bit him, eventually Miles meets with that dimension’s Spider Man. They both have a moment with their spider senses trying to get used to each other, however Miles’s colors change during this moment. It goes from a green and purple, to red and blue. Could this be a moment where the path changed as soon as both realize that they’re both the same? Again this was small detail none of us realized until after the 2nd movie, so it could be something completely different!

I was so mad when the movie left off on a cliff hanger, like I understand why it had to, but I was just so focused on the movie I didn't even think about the time. The amount of 'wait what?'s and 'no way's I heard at the theater shows how much people wanted the movie to keep going.

I’ve already seen this movie the day before the wide release and I’m trying to see it twice more god it’s amazing. It is the best Spidey movie period. CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY WANT TO MAKE A LIVE ACTION MILES?!?? WHY?!?

I need to give a standing applause to the production team and everybody involved on this legendary movie. It is the definition of what art means and it's beautiful.

Can I just talk here about how this whole chase scene I feel like miles expressions just give me so much pain. If he doesn’t get home his dad will die and hes glitching and if he stays in this dimension for too long he will die and everything this kid has worked for is just a big mistake and he wasn’t supposed to be this way, or Atleast what he thinks. Its just so heart wrenching.

The way I see it, No way Home was passing respect to the Spider-Man movies. Across the Spider-Verse was paying respect to Spider-Man as a character and concept

Can we all just appreciate one thing real quick. The spider is nothing of note in the first film. Obviously when you watch the movie, you know it will bite Mihles and make him spider man so you don’t question something like “where does it come from.” Then in this film, they explain where it comes from, and it is retroactively supported, by the spider glitching throughout the first film. We didn’t know what glitching meant the first time we saw the spider, but now where we know, we know exactly where it’s from, and it’s something that was at the very least thought about, when they made the first movie. THATS CONSISTENCY!!!!!

I'm glad that you are more open to the idea of the canon event explanation not being complete. A lot of the reaction I've seen online really wants to nitpick that aspect as a *huge* plot hole that brought down the movie. I think it's totally fair considering how the canon event being shown actually happened in the first place. But considering this is a two-parter, I will reserve my judgment for now. Don't get me wrong, I will definitely call it out if they ended up doing nothing about it.

finally watched yesterday (been avoiding spoilers for months) and honestly i was getting excited and hyped up when the ending was playing, i was thinking “how many times am i gonna say ‘This is wild’” been so long since i was left on a cliff hanger that actually left me feeling amazing and no doubt or problem with waiting knowing the next is gonna be amazing bc we’ve seen what these creators/artists can do

This film is filled with so much Exaggerated Swagger of a Black teen when Miles jumps off the train.

I think Gwen's dimension was my favorite. The background changes color to depict the emotions of the character on screen. It was really powerful in moments between Gwen and her father, and I think it's meant to highlight Gwen as the most emotionally complex character in the movie, which is already somewhat obvious from her intro scenes with the band and her relationship with her father.

I heard that dang riff/string thingy, whatever you would call it, that played when we first saw Miguel. It's basically his "villain" sound which is this movie's equivalent to the Prowler sound. But anyhoo, I heard it in the theater for the first time and thought to myself "THAT'S where that thing came from." Cuz I heard it a few weeks prior to seeing the movie (I was very late to the party) and the video in which I heard it from? A jumpscare. So I mentally pointed at the screen when I heard it and internally declared _"IT WAS YOUUUUUUUU!!!!"_

I love how Gwen’s arc through the movie works as a queer allegory. Hiding half of who you are, you feel like you can’t talk to the people that matter most in your life? Yeah, that’s something a lot of queer people have worked through, and seeing her dad accept her as Spider-Woman just brings it full circle for me. I don’t think it matters if it’s intentional on the part of the filmmakers, its just a beautiful story regardless

This movie BLEW ME AWAY Oh my goodness it was epic

I loooveeeddd Miguel!!! Him wanting to keep the multiverse safe due to his guilt of destroying one universe makes him sooo endearing to me. And the fact that he has created a team makes me believe that he (like every other spider-person) feels really lonely otherwise I can't see such a control-freak wanting to work with other people willingly. He gave reluctant dad energy and I loved every second of it!! His chemistry with everyone was pretty fun too, especially Peter B. Parker. I hope we get to learn more about him in the sequel, and maybe, hopefully, he gets the chance to redeem himself. I really hope his relationship with Miles works out, the kid was so happy to meet him, he even called him uncle in Spanish😢 , cmon Sony don't make your two main Latino characters beat each other up!! One last thing, with Miguel being feral, intense and a bit awkward the internet girlies and queers have gone insane for him so that's always nice!! The fanarts they make for him are immaculate!! It's what he deserves 😌😌

I also like that a lot of time is put into the hero’s trying to save people. The MCU and a lot of the DCU forgets that what makes these hero‘a good, people to look up to is that they value the lives of others.

The Am I Dreaming ending scene was amazing. One of the best songs I've heard in awhile.

All the animators who worked on this and the previous Spider-Verse really need a raise or something because they did such an amazing job
