excellent tutorial (and I have seen plenty...) Exactly where I am at right now. (foiling comfortably in straight line, but crushing when even thinking of going into a jibe)

Good tips thank you ! I specially notice your advice to move slightly upwind just when initiating the feet switch, first time I read it. I always switch stance being broad reach when out of a jibe and toe side, and that's too unstable to be reliable, so I'll try your tip. Besides, that would be helpful if you were to post a tuto on how to ride toe side, my main issue is not being able to ride close to the wind for long because I end up the nose facing the wind, so that's why I ride broad reach when toe side out of a jibe. I must add that I sail always with sea waves.

I started this sport last fall and am equally comfortable in either direction, probably from windsurfing for 20 years. So I've never ridden toe-side. I crash halfway through every gybe. I'm thinking I should practice toe-side riding. Then, I need to pick between switching before or after. I've also moved from a 170-liter inflatable to a 114-liter Cabrina Code. For learning to Gybe I have two questions. Should I go back to the bigger board and when would be the best time to switch? Thanks for the advise in this video.

I fell today 20 times trying to swich the feet during the gybe. In the middle of it or just after changing hands. I should have seen your video before. Great video you've done there. Thank you. One question if you don't mind. During the gybe, where do you look at? Where do you focus? If I look to the water I get the feet in the wrong place. If I look to the board I don't turn. If I pretend I'm not looking anywhere it's a disaster. Where do you keep your eyes on?

We have countless hours practicing and visualizing the foot switch on the beach. Make a pattern in the sand and close your eyes. Repeat the movement over and over again. Therefore the thought process is more muscle memory and that when you're able to feel the board not just see it. Taking it all in and absorbing your surroundings. Down to the very ripple on the wave or the wind shift in your hair. Don't focus on the big stuff let it come natural by separating the the movements on the beach.
