I just changed strings on my ESP LTD M-1000 Deluxe guitar and figured I would share this with you as they are a different gauge.
I'm using the Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light strings.
I normally use Light, but I guess I pressed the wrong button when I ordered these.
That's okay because I've always wanted to try the custom lights, so here we are!
Let me know what you think in the comments, or if you've tried these strings.
**Please give this video a thumbs up and make sure you subscribe!

My FAVOURITE strings for more than a decade. The clarity and especially the longevity, cannot be compared for me! I play with a 7-string and a 6-string low tuned (B-drop A) and they are amazing.

The 9 46 strings are really good if you like nine strings but have a d tuna on your floyd. The 9 46 can go into drop D without getting too floppy on the low string.

I feel the lights had a more chugging like a tighter feel, but the light customs sounds so much pitchy and stretching in the highs, but thank you! Im getting the lights after watching this, have a j-22 Jackson dinky

I've used Elixir strings in the past and they last a long time but they're so damn expensive. Mostly 9/46 or 9/42 and I mainly used Dean Markley Signature but also Dunlop, Darco sometimes Ernie Ball. I really liked the Dean Markley Blackhawk which is a coated string but they're very scarce suddenly. Rock on!

They’re a little more expensive, yes. But if you think about it, we spend more money on far worse things! And paying $8 or so for a set of strings that will last several months is really less expensive than buying cheaper strings that don’t last as long. So you can look at it that way

I just bought those strings for my ltd m1000 deluxe. The only difference I can see is in the tone vs 10/46 strings ( slightly) but I prefer those for 25,5 scale. Thank you very much for the help.

Interesting this video came up. Just ordered DR strings veritas and D'Addario versions of this gauge to try out a couple days ago. Looking for the easier soloing of the 9's with the slightly less flabby low end of the 10's. Sounds like I'll enjoy them!
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think you'll like them. As I mentioned in the video, though, you'll tell the difference between the G and D strings because that's where the 'hybrid' split is. I'm interested to know how you like that brand once you get them.

Tip here is 9's fit Jackson beautifully as theyre a precision made instrument for fast fretwork and attack for lead gyitarists; you should change the nut on a Jackson to fit 10's or bigger; where as a Gibson/ Epi is made to accommodate 10's etc as they sit beautifully. This is because classically a Gibson/Epi i generally a twin humbucker guitar made for a fat sound by trading its wire and mahogany wood body to achieve its goal ie: rhythm etc; where as a Jackson is generally a lead guitar, but on occasion made for rhythm etc like the Kelly n Warrior models! Tbf i wouldnt touch u.s strings and keep with Rotosound which sound best with P90s, but i do seap out a couple of strings for lighter strings at the top end knowing where that chambers are within the guitars body as the electronic vibratiion gives an even better timbre within its sound. Ps: Pickups arnt as important as having the right string set-up for a particular instrument. Experiment abit 🎸

Never been a fan of Elixirs. Carvin used to put them on guitars I got from them and I got to where I instantly removed them. I use 9-46s on just about everything but they are D'Addarios :)

Yes, they have some sort of coating on them. Lasts a long freaking time but you do have to change the after 2-3 months because the tone will deaden over time

I’m not sure if it’s the climate or something, but whenever I get Elixirs, they break fairly easily. (Like in 1-2 weeks) I don’t really like them, but others seem to have good luck with them, so I’m not really sure.
