Everything was so different n 😍 beautiful!! But I couldn't tell a soul for fear my sins would get back to my mother!! I didn't tell her till shortly before she passed. It was an awesome time I kept hid in my ❤️ heart! "Butcher take another little piece of my heart now baby!" ♥️

She has soul. She isn't your average pop artist. There's an honesty in her voice that's so original and she owns it. Wish more women had this kind of confidence. She is a true musician and soul singer only a handful of them. Regretfully they never get as much recognition as they should, I would listen to Beth Hart all day over Britney or Katy Perry Taylor Swift is another highly successful country turned pop artist who should not be as popular as she is.

Skye--I know what you mean. I guess (for me), so much of it seems so superficial, and in Taylor Swift's case, she just has too many "revenge" songs. (She's probably made a lot of guys afraid to even get close to her for fear he'll eventually wind up in a nasty song about him.) But I prefer the songs like this one--so much truth, emotion, and sung so beautifully that your heart breaks along with her own. Haven't we all felt this way at one time our lives? I know I have.

I have listened to this song for what feels like a straight week non-stop because after your heart breaks to the point of promising yourself you will never let another person in and then you meet someone who knows this ;only to gain your trust from what you believe is no return and they get the power of being the one human being who has your heart again only to discard you in the most cruel way possible. There is no healing after that,you know this time for certain you will never allow vulnerability to be shown even if it is to the one true soul mate that might have been . You choose to live a lonely life in a dark hole of addiction, one night stands; a dark place of solitude only to torture your soul because your heart will never be broken in this life by another only by your own choosing. It's like choosing death and having to be okay with it because your not whole and never will be. Giving the light and strength you once had in the world to a pit of darkness and weakness. You can feel the pain in every word of this song and in her voice; this becomes your healing. You forgive yourself for destroying your life as you consiously throw away any chance of happiness and learn to be okay with a cruel decision and the consequences that follow. This girl is coming into her own...she has a fantastic voice...when I first heard her sing I was really impressed. I watched a special on tv where she had her grandfather's house re-done. She has a big heart, and I might be wrong, but I don't think she had much love growing up even with a "famous" father. She does love her grandpa...and he loves her. I love her voice!

Im 54 years old and am discovering the "blues" I am feeling like a teenager again finding songs that move me to the CORE and make me feel understood. Its astonishing that they have ALWAYS been here, I just wasnt ready or available to "hear" it yet. Im so grateful I live in a day and age that I havent missed it totally.

Holy crap, what a song and a performance. Love the raspiness in her voice. You feel badly for the one who loves and the one who is loved, but whose heart is closed down even though they don’t want it to be.
