Fantastic doesn't mean star. One of a kind yes, she is what Tyler Childers is to future country, she is to this other area of not so much country music, but something else that is not new, but great to have someone who can dominate the genre of "country, soul, rock and blues" whatever that is, it's usually live, women break through hard in this category when they are amazing. This woman is amazing.

It’s called talent. All the great bands back in the day considered themselves live bands that did albums because they had to. The non-digital, live in the moment, beautiful imperfections are what makes it timeless and unique. Like a Grateful Dead show or an Allman Brothers show, each unique and won’t happen again. The digitally doctored albums are just supposed to get you through until you can go see a show. Ya I’m a fossil, just dated myself (carbon dating maybe....)

Live performance is the mechanism by which you find out if the producer/autotune was talented or the artist is talented. She is massively talented.

What everyone else said. Live is what separates "stars" from "musicians" (so does acoustic, by the way). That's not to say there aren't some stars who are great musicians, too -- but there are also a lot who are not, and it's the live &/or unplugged performances that show it.

Ex's and Oh's was a catchy song but her non-mainstream songs are the ones that I'm hooked on. I can't get enough. I always check out live performances when I discover an artist which tell me how talented they are and by far she blows everyone away! Absolutely love Elle. I live on Guam and would give anything to see her live and not in some arena setting. I'd prefer the smaller gigs.
