We appreciate you Mark and Andrew! Also these two beautiful and talented ladies of Faith sharing with us!! Truly, Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, will never leaves or forsake us! After 8 Spinal surgeries, 9 months of MRSA Infection, and 2 heart attacks in the process, I can testify, He is Faithful, Hallelujah!! ❤️✝️👏

Mark Lowry and Amy Grant? Good lord, that's like half my childhood right there lol. Mark was SO funny in his stand-up special "The Last Word", I wrecked a cassette tape listen to that comedy over and over :-) and Amy needs no introduction, one of the greatest Christian (and mainstream Pop) artists of all time.

Oh Amy. What an inspiration and joy you are. If only you could truly know how deeply you've touched the soul of so many with your voice, your talent, and the name of Jesus, the ultimate expression of God's love, found woven into your artful craft of song. And though you may be hesistant to accept the accolade, your's has not been just a career, but it has been a profound industry changing ministry. To multitudes, a life changing minisrty. I can hardly fathom the personal sacrifices you must have made along the way during youth in order to be what you thought we needed you to be for us, and never fully giving yourself enough of just you. This is the very reason I celebrate your song "Out In The Open". It brings me a comfort just seeing you finally arriving at a place of peace in life. I always enjoy seeing you in interviews. This one in particular seemed so vulnerable, and real. You have never been more beautiful than you are when adorned in bold faith accentuated by life's messiness. Each of us may at times attempt to wear halos, but ultimately they each one slip and fall and rest crooked upon our heads. Only one king wears a crown deserved and He is Lord. Thank you Amy for a lifetime of music, from the spirit-moving "El Shaddai" to the feet moving "Baby Baby" to the seasonal sounds of your entire Christmas Catalogue. I can't wait till the day when I will stand in halls of Heaven alongside you and every other child of God and sing forever praises to our creator, The Lord of love...The Lord of all!

I gotta type AMEN!!! There is so so much we will never know, but God & I know how much comfort I received listening to your (Amy Grant) music Amy! Such an example of openness and an honest authentic human being that Jesus died for! Don’t imagine you will ever read this Amy, but in 1980 our mom went “Little House on the Prairie” on us seven kids (I’m the oldest) on twenty acres in central southern Washington State. We were 16 miles from Goldendale WA and lived in an Army tent while our stepdad was building a cabin. I had been in and out of church since I was a kid, but that summer I really encountered God just before my 16th birthday at a Church Camp where, for that week, I was a CIT (Counceler In Training) for Jr. High kids (also playing drums & learning guitar). Somehow I ended up with Amy’s Age to Age album on cassette about a year later, where I had not been a very faithful witness for Christ for that year. God used those songs and Holy Spirit’s conviction to re-dedicate my life to God, and the song “I have decided” became my anthem throughout High School. I continued following Christ, growing in faith and buying Amy’s albums throughout my life. I am presently serving in Missions in Berlin Germany and still LOVE Amy and her music! THANK YOU AMY!!!

Every time she appeared on the View, Tonght Show, Arsenio, 700 Club...the way she interacts with believers and unbelievers was a witness for Christ cause she doesn't treat people as believers vs unbelievers. She is a walking ministry and I think she knows that which is why she chose to go out into the World with all her faults and mistakes, she walks in Grace. She doesn't spend her time condeming others. That is so refreshing to see in a Christian.

I feel that Amy sold out and embraced the world. It started with her shift into popular music and the song "Lead me on" which is a double entendre. Then her adulterous affair with Vince Gill and subsequent divorce. IT'S ADULTERY, PEOPLE! HOW CAN WE BE SO DISMISSIVE? WHERE IS THW FAITHFULLNESS TO ONE'S COMMITMENT AND THE COVENANT MADE BEFORE GOD? Don't talk to me about faith when you cant put it into practice... It's not that I am sinless but I own it. I confess it. I strive to avoid it - not hide it and excuse it and worse, to encourage it. She caused real destruction and pain but has never confessed and owned it and repented and asked for forgiveness. Niw she is supporting gay marriage and even recently hosted a gay wedding on her property. How is this okay?

@@randallsmerna384Wow, "her adulterous affair"? Lol You have no idea if she acted upon it or not. You assuming that she did doesn't make it true. As far as her song "Lead me On" read the lyrics to it and get back with us. It's a very serious song.

I truly enjoyed the conversations. The conversation with Ellie hit so close to home. I struggled with losing my husband, my mom, and youngest sister in less than a 2 year period. I was on an emotional roller coaster that caused me to refuse to talk to God. I almost threw in the towel, but God never left me. He brought me back to his fold, and I daily follow those who give me positive vibes that helps me grow while I share my testimony with others. Thank you so much for this!

Wow! I can resonate with Ellie in her role as a mother. My children are nearly 40 and 38 l feel more helpless and more dependent on God than when they were tiny! For me it has been hard to surrender their adult lives to Him. But then the realization comes that God does not have Grandchildren! They have to want Him for themselves. I rehearse and think how l did not model God in a way that they would want a relationship with Him. Anyway, may God bless you on your parenting journey. But most importantly in your abiding with the One who gave all and showed us how it was done while here on our planet. Read Hebrews 7:25 Blessings, Lori

Amy Grant- this is the way I see things as I am only a year younger than you, but this is a real comment, I am not being fresh. The old 60 is a new 40. You look like you are only 40 years old, SERIOUSLY! It doesn’t matter how you feel, it’s how you look. lol Amy, look marvellous! She does speak gobbledygook. And from a place of extreme privilege. She was born into a wealthy family, was literally handed a career, and (like most celebs), lives in a very protected privileged bubble. I’ve followed her for decades & use to love to listen to her speak, but once I hit 40, she started to irritate me. Could be because she’s such a pollyanna & my entire life has sucked & turned out horribly, but I find her “messages” overly simplistic & unrealistically optimistic. I find myself eye rolling a lot while listening to her.
@michelleheltz6116
@michelleheltz6116 2 жыл бұрын
She is totally different from the 1980s - just watched Amy Grant: Circle of Love on you tube. The old Amy! No gobbly gook. I agree. She did grow up in a more upper class family. I can attest cause i went from upper middle class to the bottom of the pay scale. Life was easier in upper middle class for sure! ❤❤❤ (not that I care what class someone is in. Just a fact life was easier!) and I do roll my eyes at celebrities too!!!

@@lopear111 I am like you Pearl. I became a fan of hers at age 15 n I'm now 54. She was once a role model for me, but as I've gotten older it seems to me that she has let fame n money go to her head. The way she's so philosophical about life etc is rooted in the fact that money / fame have made her life easier than it would had she been born into a middle or lower class background - it's like she thinks she's somehow superior and that annoys me
