The first time I heard Lynda Tate and her little brother Michael sing was at Liberty University in the 1980's, before Mr. Randle gave her a new name, right before DCTalk became a thing and LONG before the Newsboys era. Lynda has a splendid voice, but Michael is next-level. DCTalk and Newsboys don't really showcase his voice. Just give him a simple hymn and let him sing. Honey to the ear.

My brother and sister both abused me many times sexually. My folks didn't know and my parents were lovely people of Faith. My dad was a Pentecostal preacher and pastored over twenty churches. And I was baptized in water by my dad. And recieved the Holy Spirit at the age of eight during the end of Sunday night service when dad was about done preaching. I've felt such shame all my life, and I'm not really sure if any thing had to do with that, and I hate it when I fall down in morals. And I suffer from complex regional pain syndrome. Which has lasted for over twenty five years. And ai seriously wish God would take me to heaven. That I would die soon. And get away from such pain physically and such shame. I'm not living in sin except I tend to say damn it when I fall down from crps. I'm hoping God will heal me or let me go to heaven. Soon.

I'm sure she loves unpopular KTLA too, which KCOP (yes I know she's based in Los Angeles now) stomped repeatedly in the ratings. I'm sure in New York/Brooklyn, she'd love WPIX, which is like, along with WCBS, is the least popular, in the City. And the way she says "developmental delay." She's a joke.

I agree. Be real. More people can be reached and loved into the Kingdom if people knew we all battle with different things ..... HEAVY things. Keeping up appearances doesn't serve us well. We need to be loving and supporting people into the church without prejudice. If they fall we help them up no matter how many times they fall.

After losing my wife at 46 to a brain tumor back in 2012 I learned personally this lesson of not trying to find the perfect words to”fix” the situation or person and just to listen because in most situations that’s all we can do and a lot of times that’s what people want the most.

Thank goodness for the 12 step programme of AA , ALANON and all the other 12 step programmes there are for addictions. As I have never know ( being on this earth for 64 years) any Christian church that helps , loves and helps people with addictions as any 12th step programme does.

"My sheep die from lack of knowledge." Start doing your own research into your health on your laptop pray to Jesus before you start to ask G-d to direct your research into what Jehovah Rafa knows you need. Study bible on a daily basis so you will know the heart of G-d. Start by taking 1 tablespoon of Collagen a every morning in your coffee and 1/2 teaspoon of Taurine in a glass of water every day. A vitamin B1 Thiamine for those who had addictions that has fried your nervous system. Stop seeing your lousy doctor, go see a Naturopath. And praise Jesus for everything because its "by His stipes you are healed." Say this to yourself like a mantra, continually on a daily basis even in your sleep because there's power in the Word of G-d.

I know I am going to get bashed for this, but so be it.The idea that this guy is some wonderful, struggling Christian is a steaming pile of poo. According to him, he was so overwhelmed for all those years over the guilt he felt for living a double life, yet somehow, he just couldnt stop. Bullcrap. It did not bother him enough to stop taking the checks or the acolades of his peers. He was living a pretty good life and the entire time, was a lying hypocrite but we all know that is typical of the "contemporary christian" scene. 99.9% of them are doing the exact same thing. What I want to know is - what is the difference in this guy and Jimmy Swaggart? Both of them made pretty good livings off of the sheep that make up most of the church. Both enjoyed fame and money and popularity and had huge followings. Both were living completely double lives - standing on stage, talking about the love of God, while knowingly being complete hypocrites off stage. How either one can sleep at night is amazing to me. No. I do not expect perfection but if you are dealing with some of these massive sin issues in your life, take a step back, quit preaching or singing to others and deal with your own disaster of a life, instead of hiding it for year after year after year and then, having the nerve to profit off of the telling of the story. Despise these people.....

The same Jesus that said I am at the door knoking, is the same that says if you don't reapent, I will vomite you out of my mouth. So Jesus loves us uncondinionaly, but we need to confess our sins and we need not to grief the Holly Spirit

Jesus became sin for us. "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Corinthians 5:12 (kjv) What does the righteousness of God in Him mean to you?

I had the privilege of meeting Russ back in around 1998 at my first Gaither concert in Lubbock Tx. I’m not certain if that was the year or not, but is was the years that David Phelps was dressing like a Pirates of the Caribbean. I absolutely love the Gaither group and all their amazing voices. We had VIP tickets and just got such a blessing from the music that night. Anyway after the concert and many of the audience was gone I actually got to meet Bill and tell him how wonderful the experience was. After that I saw Russ shuffling up the isle and out to the wings kind of away from people, so I just approached him very excited and thrilled to get to shake his hand and thank him for his vocal contribution…he met my enthusiasm with a real cold and distant blankness and it confused me for years. Then years and years later the openness of his addiction was revealed. It dawned on me that he must have been on a binge possibly. Answered my confusion about his reaction towards me. I really am sad that his life and circumstances lead him in that painful direction for so many of his productive years. Thank the Lord He still uses and heals those of us that somehow get off the perfect walk even while we are trying to serve Him. I’ve experienced that myself and have lost quite a few Christian friends in the aftermath. Thank you Lord Jesus for continuing to use Russ Taff and that super voice You gave him. Bless him and Bless him as he Blesses other with that wonderful voice and forgiven testimony!

Often church people are clicky, which feels beyond hurtful. Growing up in a military family I have no life-long friends (we moved every year), have no roots, do not make friends easy, and being a non-married woman, am not reached out to. --- It must be nice to have the money for your very own self-help platform.

Behavior is proof. Behavior is fruit. Behavior displays our true nature. Christians sin occasionally but not consistently. “You must be born again!”
@stevesmith1493
@stevesmith1493 Ай бұрын
We have to identify with “Christ in you the hope of glory”. Christ inside minded. A lot of people assume they are born again because of their association with Christianity. Church attendance, music, religious vocations. A true Christian is a NEW creation. Our desires change. A true Christian doesn’t continue in a pattern of sin. Religious people are not necessarily real Christians and real Christians aren’t necessarily religious people.
