I feel like you can take this 1 observation you made here and find another couple dozen like it, which when taken in aggregate, make the productivity step from current production methods to this process unlike any other single step change improvement in any industry for the past 100 years... it is a combination of Boxabl squeezing out newly unleashed offsite advantages combined with the sheer lack of productivity gains made by industry in the last 50 years...

And live on those properties. Live lean, enjoy the nature of the property. Have multiple staging areas to see sections of the country while enjoying living on each property throughout the year.

I don’t think people realize how difficult manufacturing is - and building a business to manufacture from scratch is. Paolo and Galiano have shown that they have rare skillset to do so many, many essential tasks to pull this off. Designing, marketing, fundraising, etc. Most importantly, is that they’re good leaders. They infect their teammates with their vision and enthusiasm and treat them right and encourage them to innovate, contribute and grow with the company. A rare find and why I think they’re going to succeed.

I'd love a lego style solution where you have A module, B, C and so on along with a second floor middle addition. So that you could use 4 modules + 2 middle addition and get a 2 story house with 2-3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms, office, living room, bathroom, kitchen. Just snap it together and movie in, that would be a show of power that would stun everyone and more or less have the potential to solve any housing crisis. Where I live there is a hidden crisis, where scalpers buy up everything the moment it goes in to be sold, then they do nothing except jacking up the price by 100K+ and resell the house. This has caused a problem that there is not enough started homes as most can't afford 2 bedroom + guestroom/office type houses, but it's what they need. Prices are rampant as a result, so new solutions are desperately needed. Sadly I live in Norway where you have to build for temperatures from -25 C to 40 C and storm level winds. If your idea can withstand and be livable in such conditions then you'd really have something wonderful.

I worked in a factory making similar box-type rooms over 20 years ago. I was on the saw section cutting the timber frames that would form the walls, roof, doors. CFC gas was used (before it was banned) to pump liquid insulation foam between the metal skin of the walls. You could literally heat the rooms with a candle the insulation was that good. It took a few days to produce a 40ft x 20 ft room, that cost €20,000, I believe. The customer had to make the foundations and concrete floor (with waste pipes and electrics) before the room could be erected which took only a few minutes to an hour. I haven't seen anything in this video to suggest there's new developments as the tour guide says, so I call bs on that. If the new part is "speed of production", then that's only down to the number of workers they have there; the more workers, the greater capacity for mass production.

Boxabl is not comparable to non-turnkey units that don't have already included plumbing, electric, HVAC, turnkey utility hookups, all kitchen appliances, single washer/dryer combo, breaker box... Boxabl's differentiation is comparably low-cost, high-quality, scalable, but most importantly hyper fast production (hours/minutes vs 4-6 months)... And this is all only possible in the factory because of the fold-down IP...
@rule1capital
@rule1capital Жыл бұрын
@@radiofreealbemuth8540 Paolo stated, on current models, the Casita weighs about 15,000 pounds, which is pushing past the top-end towing capabilities of most standard consumer facing pickup trucks, like an F-150... However, I just did a quick Google search and found that an F-250/F-350/F-450 can potentially tow much more than that in appropriate configurations... At the other end of spectrum, a big rig could potentially pull 2 Casitas on a double trailer (20 feet long per Casita gets 40 feet of max 53 foot standard trailer length)...

The best part about Boxabl, even before the initial crowdfund round, was that Paolo put in millions of his own money, as well as sweat equity, to develop all the initial Casita IP from 2017-2020... I was much more willing to invest in a product when the founder has gone all-in before asking for a dime from you...

Just a note, vehicle and other manufacturing industry production rates can be misleading. Whilst one unit may leave the assembly line at the rate of one every 2 minutes or even faster one every 60 seconds, that is not the time taken to produce one unit. A specific unit may take 2 weeks to get from one end of the assembly line to the other, and no unit can exit the assembly line faster than the slowest process along the line. So for vehicles to leave the line every minute, no process along the line can take longer than 60 seconds. Vehicles are more involved than an empty box, so seems should be feasible to get processes down to less than 1 minute, and have the line operate like water flowing along a pipe. Want to measure the outflow, not that it took 2 days for the water to travel across the country to the tap (faucet). So a matter of perspective, need to be comparing the same production parameters.

I think they should move to a counter depth refrigerator in the kitchen. That would open up the kitchen. We have that in our kitchen, and they are just taller, so you still get the same amount of space, but they don't stick out in the way, and they are easier to find things, because you can't bury items for far back that you lose them.

Nah we need more NON housing options. Try and figure out how to go buy a piece of land, and create your own home to live in. P.S. its not legal and can be torn down if it doesnt meet aproved building codes.
