Like the hyperloop, people are eating it up as if it was some engineering marvel thing that elon invented, there was a guy called goddard who came up with the idea of transporting people in a pod inside a low pressure tunnel in 1920s and he patented it. Yes, hundred years before. And for the people wondering who Goddard is? he is the guy who invented liquid propellent rocket... and if i remember correctly there was even a life size demonstrator of that ( what is now called hyperloop ) built by some scientist in europe in the 70s. Then boring tunnels which only carries cars and that could probably maybe handle few people a minute and people are acting like he came with some revolutionary thing. when we have been transporting thousands and thousands of people in the most efficient way using underground trains for more than hundred years.... I respect him for kinda being responsible for the ev revolution and rekindling the dream of space travel in millions of people and he is a smart and successful business so i admire that... No matter what your company does, the most valuable thing you can know is economics. Then you hire a bunch of very skilful people in your com panes area. You forgot to mention how unrepairable Teslas are. Making cars almost impossible to repair/get replacement parts for by anyone but the manufacturer means the manufacturer can charge almost any price they want and do as garbage of a job as they want because they have no real competition. The manufacturer being able to hike repair prices means it will become much more viable to just buy a new car than to repair the old one at a much earlier point in the car's life. This means these cars will spend less time on the road and will become very disposable just like the rest of the tech world. This is massively wasteful and bad for the environment. It is much worse for the environment to break down a car into usable raw materials such as the ones used in its batteries and the steel in its chassis to be used in making a new car than it is to just repair the old one and for someone to keep driving it for a few more years. #righttorepair

I used to be a car washer and had to wash a lot of Tesla cars. I never liked cleaning them because I had to be super careful to not break something or cause a short-circuit, which to my suprise was very easy to do. Lucky for the rest of the crew, I had my way with tech and had enough common sense to not force something and asking the right questions to my crew before doing anything. They kinda let me handle most of the Tesla cars because of my quicky insights and realizations but I wasn't liking them a bit. I especially did not liked those suicide doors some of the Tesla models had (doors that open upward instead of opening sideward) because I kept hitting my head on them when cleaning the insides... It also puzzles me greatly why they had to make Tesla cars so overly complex, like two electric buttons of opening/closing those suicide doors in two different ways with no way to manually opening or closing them by hand, I once tried to manually close such a door and I quickly realized that they cannot be closed that way and doing so might break that door. I love Elon Musk! He is a great (wholesome big chungus memers) man who will make the world great and green. He will bring us to Mars, where we will all drive Teslas, get power from the solar city plant, our transportation infrastructure will be done by the boring company while we all use our neural link implants to buy more tesla stock! God I wish I could have his children and goth gf...

So, he started as a hero. (making paypal and generally not being completely stupid) Then he became an arrogant idiot with too much money for his own good. (making bad decisions like buying twitter and removing moderation, or being dishonest and unjust by taking credit for the genius of his employees while violating their workplace rights)

Tony Stark and Elon are very different in that Tony actually does the science and mechanics himself. Elon just knows how to make a stock portfolio look better than it is
@VulpinetideCuteTimes0w0 Жыл бұрын
Tony Stark's level of genius is fictional. The things he creates, in reality, would take many minds, cooperation and the ability to surpass the laws of physics to make it happen.

I used to like him because I genuinely thought he was a good person who wanted to help climate change,, but after actually learning more about space and climate change and how his stupid inventions did more harm than good, I now literally spend hours ranting about the countless disgusting things he’s done to anyone who will listen in the hopes of shrinking his cult following, even by one.

Elon Musk has been idolised especially in 2020. Perhaps it was because Tesla stock surged by 800%. But videos like these reveal his flaws and misconceptions. For example I used to think he was an inventor, but the truth is he's more of an investor
@concept56312 жыл бұрын
I thought the same way.
@honkhonk80092 жыл бұрын
Yup. People treated him like a god, when in reality he was just a normal person with the same flaws we have. Morons worshiped him, and couldnt face reality.
