The band originates from Switzerland, although they focus a lot on Gaelic Lore, and use Gaulish language in some tracks (which is a mainland Europe variant of Celtic language, which is used by Irish/Scottish in the past, centred around the region of Gaul - which covered areas of France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands). The band will generally use one of three vocal styles in their songs - switching balance between the male and female vocalists to achieve this. Some songs will be more folky and generally will have the female vocalist leading, others will be more metal, with the male vocalist leading, then there will be some that balance the two. They have had 2 different female vocalists, but have maintained the same male vocalist over the years. As for instruments, the band will mix a wide range of traditional instruments in their music, including bagpipes, flutes, tin whistles, harps, violins and even a hurdy gurdy.

@@sportosp-0158 haha, it's a band I enjoy listening to, so I've picked up bits and pieces about them over the years

@@Shinobi_sac I dig that for sure. And now that I know what a Hurdy Gurdy is... I found an artist named Patty Gurdy and have been listening to her for the better part of an hour. Thanks for that...

Usually when you have 8 people playing/singing together it either sounds amazing, or it's a mess. Eluveitie blends so well

Not the best song to represent the full sound... Re-birth would be better.
@Soviet_Saguaro4 жыл бұрын
Rebirth is actually kind of an odd song in their discography.
@banderezztonylapore94934 жыл бұрын
Odd... I don't think so. To me it represents all of the different sounds and styles crammed into one song. It gives a sampling of it all. That's what I mean. Not that Rebirth represents a average Eluveitie song...
@Soviet_Saguaro4 жыл бұрын
@@banderezztonylapore9493 oh I gotcha. Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you meant it represented an average Eluveitie song haha
