A great song. Whoever requested that has really good taste in music. I hope you do more from Eluveitie.

"Let's start a band. I'll play the drums" "Cool, I'll play the guitar" "Bagsy the bass" "I'll...erm...I guess I'll sing...and play the flute...and mandolin...and harp...oh and the bagpipe" "Fiddle for me" "Did anyone say hurdy gurdy? No? Ok I'll do that then."

India, long time subscriber and I love your reactions. I felt compelled to give you some background info on this one. The instrumentation is very Celtic, which most people associate with Ireland or Scotland. However, this band is from Switzerland. "Eluveitie" is the name the ancient Tuscans gave to the group of Celts that settled in Switzerland in ancient history. This band is honoring their Celtic/Swiss heritage.

Eluvetie is amazing (amazing live too), try poking around their catalog, they are not a typical metal (even FOlk Metal) band

Agreed I've loved this band since the first time I heard them, "Everything remains as it never was", and I've seen them live twice and once included a 1hr acoustic set absolutely amazing.

Love your reaction. If you want to hear growling and sweet voice at it's best, and done by a female, give Jinjer a listen to. She does both. Tatiana's words are also impressive. The band is crazy

I Love this band. Saw them live back in November. Awesome live band. I have also seen them with their previous lineup. You have to do Call of the Mountain, great song with the previous lineup! 😁 A little recent history of this band. Few years ago, some of the members decided to part ways with the drummer, Merlin, because of creative differences. Two of his best friends in the band, Ivo the guitarist and Anna Murphy the hurdy gurdy player/singer, were not part of the decision and were not happy about it. They too decided to leave the band. The three of them formed a new band called Cellar Darling. Eluveitie then replaced the drummer, the guitarist, BUT had to get TWO people to replace Anna Murphy. A singer and a hurdy gurdy player. Apparently they couldn't find someone that could do both. I Love the old lineup and their new band. Though I still love Eluveitie too. The new singer has an incredible voice and I have met the new hurdy gurdy player, she is a really sweet person. 😁😁

May I suggest you a weird band? There's this band from the same region as me (Andalusia, in southern Spain), called FAUSTO TARANTO. They mix modern alternative metal with Flamenco traditions (Flamenco being, in case you don't know, a traditional genre in Andalusia, mixing native music traditions with those of Gypsies, Moors, North Africans and Sephardic Jews, ending up being, nowadays, a very unique style that people mix and experiment with, yet it has its own traditions, customs and rules, some of them centuries old, especially in the singing, the guitar, the dancing and the hand clappings they use as natural percussion). It would be super awesome if you check them out. They aren't like THAT super famous yet, but very unique, and also have the particularity of singing in Andalusian dialect and accent which is not very common and often times criticized (think about it as the Appalachian English of the Spanish box of dialects lol). The songs "A Capa y Espada" or "Abanicos y Soplaores" are super awesome and have music videos. And there's also a live video for a specific song "Fausto Taranto - (2/7) Se Apodera De Mí (Directo @ Rtve "Los Conciertos De Radio3" en La2)", which is super great too, in case you want a live taste. Probably nobody else will suggest this one, but think that it also makes them quite unique lol. PS: New subscriber here.

Yes you're right they are next level, and live in the same hometown in Switzerland where ELUVEITIE come from. I think they are truly amazing even though i haven't fully accepted the growling yet but starting to see the talent understanding part of the lyrics. In your case i think you should react to an older Hit of Eluveitie titled "CALL OF THE MOUNTAINS" with Anna Murphy singing instead of Nicole Ansperger who you saw in REBIRTH. Do you do the voice overs for the terms and conditions in adverts? On a friendlier note (I'm British, think of it as a cultural disability...) song structure relatively simple. Composition of it: sooooo many layers. There is a metric shit ton going on at any given moment. It's a great album from start to finish. Highly recommend checking it start to finish. As for the growling, less growling at you, more growling for something. For growling at you check out mayhem. Illuminate eliminate. Fucking terrifying and i swear that's the nicest song on that album. The rest is really hostile. For something nicer, new tool! No i jest. Cattle decapitation. It's not nicer but they're originally a vegan band so that's something fuzzy and friendly right? Prophets of loss. Tune.
