I love this one. It shows Elvis having fun. Enjoying this jam session with his band. It also shows how he borrowed Scotty’s rhythm guitar so he could play the rhythm. He played it with confidence and although he said he only knew three cords, you can see he was skilled. Love his smiles. His and your smile make me smile too. Thank you for unbiased reaction and positive opinions.

Everyone who worked with him said there was nobody like him ... and they worked with him , not for him ! He respected their contributions to the overall performance ... he only wanted everyone to enjoy what they accomplished together and to please his audiences ! TCB forever !

A lot of people thought that Elvis couldn't really play guitar. He did use a guitar as a prop often. But, in an interview with Glen Campbell, who was an extremely good guitarist, he stated that Elvis was a really good guitar player.

Elvis’ lead guitarist, Scotty Moore, was not overly pleased at handing his electric guitar over to Elvis. “Scotty Moore had brought a 1963 Gibson Super 400 CES for the show. He’d bought the guitar in ’63 from a store in Chicago for $237 and a part exchange on a Gibson bass, and used it on his 1964 solo album The Guitar That Changed The World. Elvis was playing a 1960 Gibson J200 acoustic. After a jokey rendition of Love Me, Elvis looks at Moore and says, “Let’s swap axes,” and hands Scotty his J200. He asks to borrow my guitar because his is not loud enough,” said Scotty. “Next time you see it, look at the expression on my face, like… I wish I'd thought fast enough to say, ‘No! Go get your own guitar!’” Armed with the electric guitar, Elvis tears into Jimmy Reed’s Baby, What You Want Me To Do, with gusto, literally taking the lead. Back in front of an audience, playing the rhythm and blues he loves, his guitar playing is rough round the edges but tough and exciting. Boots are stomped, the musicians shout encouragement and a decade of hokey pop is forgiven.” Elvis was known to be rough on guitars but “In the second "sit down show" (available now on several boxset collections), the two men don’t swap guitars (at first) and the song lacks punch. Scotty’s playing is slick and melodic, with country twangs. They do a couple more songs, then swap guitars and try again. Instantly, Elvis is transformed. It’s like the electric guitar itself brings something to his performance (maybe a recognition that the new kids on the block - The Beatles and the Stones - are electric players?). Scotty, a Chet Atkins fan, is slick - but Elvis plays his heart out. “He was a great rhythm player, really good,” said Scotty. “He wasn’t a good enough player that he could just start playing lead guitar on any song or in any key or anything, but on songs that he knew… “When I first met him, that was the thing that really impressed me as much as anything. He had great rhythm on the guitar and great rhythm in his voice. We did some songs and they were very rhythmic.” They were. Those rhythms changed the world. “

Interestingly, Elvis was in A 50's session with Bill Black on that slap bass fiddle and he wanted Bill to play a certain riff and Bill didn't quite understand so Elvis grabs the fiddle and played the riff to Bill's surprise. Just like he picked up piano. He would play cords on the piano and tell the Jordan airs what cords to harmonize on. He had a great creative sense

No worries about people who don't get comedy! I've seen the Bill Burr one your talking about and I laughed and I love Elvis so very much, Elvis was one who didn't take himself too serious if you see him goofing around and hear the things he'd say always saying "hope I don't split my pants" on stage while singing and such!

I am so glad you do music reactions you have a eloquent way of talking about them. You know what you are doing and you do a better job than most. Thanks to for continuing to react to Elvis, I know when you do a reaction it is fair and detailed.unfortunately Bill makes fun of Elvis when he when he was sick and overweight. There is something people even many fans don't know Elvis was very ill and that was because he was an Alpha 1 gene. His mother's parents were first cousins which made him have a double gene. It was discovered by journalist Sally Hoedel in the book " Elvis Presley Defined to die young". His mother was 46 when she died of heart and liver disease. Her two brothers also died in their 40's. Elvis was 42. He was ill and hide it especially in the last 5 years of his life. In spite of the prescription paint killers, Hoedel said Elvis would have still died in his 40's. Now I think it is better treated. The last 3 years of his life he had a bloated stomach and pale skin, whitch indicated the liver not filtering properly. His hair dresser Larry Yelled said Elvis had 2 mild heart attacks in 1975 in his presence. He wanted no one to know. When he died in August of 1977, all his detractors said it was drugs. It was is weak heart, that finally stopped. Please react to "Elvis Presley King of Kindness". Or " Elvis Presley A Generous Heart". Thanks King. Be Blessed

I think most of us enjoy your reactions. I know that I do. It’s obvious that you are getting to know Elvis better, which is great. I really appreciate what you are doing, because you are bringing Elvis back into life & talking about him & you are willing to learn about him through the comments made. So thank you. It’s always so lovely watching Elvis playing guitar, & this is a really great piece of playing. Elvis always treated his musicians as if they were his family.

Check out how much this man gave to charities. He never took a tax right off, and people he didn't even know. Listen to his charitable donations. They're all on display at Graceland. He used his popularity to help the world. He died at 42. How many people can say they did what he did in the 13 years in the music industry. He bought cars for people he didn't know. It's all documented and worth listening to his charitable donations. The people who make fun of him look like fools and are certainly no one you'd follow in the music industry.

Elvis was so nervous about this live performance. He hadn’t performed live for over 10 years, with 2 years away in the US Army, followed by 8 years only making movies, Steve Binder made sure Elvis had his old friends up there with him to recreate their relaxed jamming atmosphere. He told Elvis to just come out and say hello and then leave, that would be enough. I think he knew that Elvis would pick up the electricity from the audience once he was out there, and that would do the trick. He was right. Elvis fell into his performance easily , like he’d never been away, and gave us all the epic show we see today. Another great reaction. 20 Elvis songs so far, just another 620 odd to go!!!! 👌💕🕺

Why make fun of the outfit? It's the 60's & 70's. You have one man on a stage with over 18 to 20,000 people there to see you. What would you wear? All of those suits have a meaning. They're designed with numerology, and they are 70's styling. Who would see him on a stage wearing levis. Really? He was bigger than life. How would you dress if you were him? He was putting on a show and he always put on a great show. The music moves him and he's been criticized for that since 1955. His answer is....I can't help it. I have to move. All Elvis had to wear was jeans when he was poor and growing up in the projects. After he became successful he never wore them again unless it was required in a movie. The Aloha from Hawaii was the only Satelite Concert that was seen by billions of people in different countries all around the world. That particular suit he made sure represented the USA, and it has our symbol of the American Eagle on it. He chose white suits so it was easier for the audience to SEE HIM. Frank Sinatra made My Way popular. Sinatra said, something like.... I'm just a singer. What Elvis does is genius. Not word for word but he said this several times about Elvis. Do you realize that he directs the orchestra from behind. He ends the song and directs each part of the orchestra himself. He ends the song by motioning when they should stop. Those guys do not take they're eyes off of him, and they react to the moves he makes. Elvis did karate. As far as his moves on stage, he always moved around from the time he began in 1955. He did some karate moves in his show maybe for his performance or to loosen up, whatever, and the audience loved it. He moves to the music as to how he feels. Elvis fans have been supporting him for what? 59 years? And people are just getting it now? Better late than never. He is the King of Rock and Roll. No one has that voice. You need to listen to "If I can dream" from the 68 special That performance was on the heels of JFK, and Martin Luther King's death. Think about it. Maybe you should watch some of his rehearsals. He was in charge.
