That made me laugh what you said at the end about the guy ''no that's not for you, You stay out of it. Ha funny. In the 50s they had to film him from the waist up only, But he still found a way with his hands.

I love watching these live versions of Elvis back in the early days. This was performed on the "Ed Sullivan" show in 1957. Many times you will see the backup quartet singers called "The Jordanaires" with him. They performed with Elvis in live appearances, on his recordings & in his films in the 50's-70's. Elvis' movements were considered scandalous to show on TV. Some shows only filmed him from the waist up.

I love Elvis as a performer and he had a generous heart no matter how some people twist things. Do you know he gave so much Pearl Harbor was completed on his benefit concert

I think you means Elvis’ contribution to the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, in honor of over 1100 personnel that lost their lives when the ship was sunk, thereby bringing America into World War II

🤣🤣Elvis was pretty tame on air. The censors wouldn't allow his isial gyrations. When he appeared on Ed Sullivan, he promised not to shake too much. Many times they wouldn't show him the waist down.😂

Actually this 1957 Sullivan appearance was the ONLY time Elvis was shown from the waist up only. This was because someone fed Sullivan some false information that Elvis was going to put something down his trouser like a tube from a toilet roll or a coke bottle (really!!) to accentuate his thrusting moves. Of course, it was a lie. Elvis would not have done that or jeopardised his career that way. Regardless, Sullivan wasn’t taking any chances and ordered that Elvis only be shown from the waist up.
