I watched a guy who did a voice analysis on Elvis and said there's no way his can be auto tuned if tried. Never be an impersonator will ever be able to actually "find it". Partly because of his awesome vibrato! He showed the analysis machine as he sang!

Just Pretend is definitely one of my favorite live performances. This special was filmed over several live performances in LasVegas. Love the oh, oh , oh’s he injects three times during the song. He did so much with his voice. You can tell how he lived the music and the joy it gave him to perform in person. He interacted with his fans a a personal level. No artist stops the show to accept a gift from a fan and sign a personal autograph. He was a beautiful person and genuine. God bless his soul.

You won't believe this but often he would spring a song on them. That was old or very difficult, and they could play anything all the band and singers were personally picked by Elvis himself. And he was good about show casing them individually. His song "Lord Help me Jesus. He showcases his early idol in gospel bass singer JD Sumner who Elvis met at 15 years old. JD was big in the gospel quartet world and Elvis would go to their all night singoffs. One day JD saw Elvis on the street and say " Hey Son where have you been"? Elvis said I just don't have the money to get in. So JD said come to the back door and I will let you in. And his Idol JD sang backup for him till Elvis died in 1977. Thanks again for your heartfelt reaction.

A little background on the beginning. The painting or drawing given to him, Elvis joked that it looked like Englebert Humperdink. That was a singer in Vegas at the time who Elvis was friendly with and would go watch Englebert perform sometimes. They were both about the same height, build, hairstyle, sideburns, etc. In fact, Elvis did a song called "Release Me" that Englebert also covered. You should check both of them out.

Great reaction and description of Elvis. When he sang/performed..the focus was only on him. When we talk about voice, looks and timing etc. We're forgetting the most important part; Charisma. Elvis was the most charismatic artist in history by a mile. There are so many recollections of rooms being filled with all the celebrities you would think of...and suddenly names like Sinatra would testify that you could actually "feel" when Elvis entered the room. You can say alot, and to me and many more he is the greatest of all time. It's like classical times. Are you for Bach, Mozart or Beethoven? A minuscule fight since they are all supreme masters. Elvis is by a wide margin the GOAT of the 20th century.

He had such charisma! That’s captivating! People around him said you could feel him enter the room even when they didn’t see him. You knew his presence was there. Everyone said that. Even in a room Full of other stars visiting him in the back, he is the one that all attention was automatically drawn to. Others said he just glowed and seem to float as he walked, cause he was very limber and long legged, it had an effect.

Checkout his appearances on the Milton Berle, Ed Sullivan and any other live tv appearances. After he appeared on Milton Berle, there was a big controversy about allowing him to be on tv again due to his moves, but Ed Sullivan had to relent due to ratings pressure. His last appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, Elvis the pelvis, as he was nicknamed by the media, was shown pretty much just from the waist up. Can’t imagine how much heat he was under to conform. The 2022 Elvis movie really demonstrates what it was like. I wasn’t born yet when this was going on, but my husband was 11 or 12 and remembers it very well and what a cultural changing artist he was.

Jane H commenting …. Elvis really was the most extraordinarily-gifted & beautiful man. And I mean beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. Been a big fan of his for almost sixty years now, since I was 12, though I had been hearing him on the radio for some years before that. So Elvis has always been a part of my life. It pains me terribly to think about the suffering, physically & emotionally, that he went through over the last two years of his life, & I don’t think he ever knew how greatly he was loved by so many people worldwide. This is a very beautiful song. Enjoying your Elvis Reactions. Thank you.

And that's the way it's done. God created the world in 7 days. On the 8th day, he created Elvis. This man is not a result of mere genetics. God did this. His masterpiece song, in my opinion, is "Tomorrow Never Comes". He blows it out of the park. Before Elvis, this was nothing. After Elvis, there is nothing like him for sure.
