what I love about Zoolander the most is how their satire kept happening in the real world despite they were clearly mocking John Galliano's Haute Homeless and pointing out how stupid it was. I mean Mugatu's Derelict collections will thrive in this day and age, alongside with balenciaga and other ridiculous poverty-core luxury brands. humanity never fail to disappoint us.

Would you believe that most of the iconic lines from Zoolander 1 were improved, and offscripted? Like the one with David Duchovny's character(he's the cool guy from the X-Files). And Will Ferrell's lines werent even synced up to his mouth in the 1st one, (for some reason). But these films are hilarious, and me and my Mom still quote the 1st one even to this day. It proves that Zoolander HAS aged well, and the 2nd one has some great parts in it, despite not being as good, but it tries during SOME parts, at least, doesn't that count or MEAN ANYTHING?

I went into Zoolander reluctantly despite liking the cast. Could not imagine how it could be funny beyond how dumb it looked. So glad to be proven wrong. Hilarious and added a lot of classic lines forever engraved in pop culture. Plus too many perfectly-delivered and constructed scenes with such subtle but effective elements that it would take a documentarian to describe them.

I literally can't remember a time when he was funny. But with Will Ferrell, I remember him being funny in both Zoolander movies, Step Brothers(in my opinion), and maybe Talladega Nights, and the 1st Anchorman? @@MScoachDANIMy Mom loves the first Zoolander too, so I also grew up watching it myself, and me and my Mom still quote the first "Zoolander", all the time, especially the center for ants part, and the part with Mugatu saying he's taking crazy pills. Because I was randomly thinking about these movies too, and how Will Ferrell ALSO used to be, in both of them; and if they made a 3rd one; don't say I didn't predict it; by turning left. But, one more question: but, why male models?

@@nailinthefashion Thank you, for the compliment! And I also loved both Zoolander movies, myself. Even if the 2nd one isn't really "bad", just a little bit disappointing, and not as good as the 1st one, but they're both worth watching either way. Really, I can think of at least a few Ben Stiller films worth watching: both "Zoolander" films; "Dodgeball"; and especially; "Tropic Thunder". Me and my Mom have seen all of those films as a family, so I have good memories of all those films; especially Tropic Thunder, because I didn't think I'd get to see that one in theaters, back in 2008. And Dodgeball, I remember not being able to see it, but getting it on DVD, and seeing it on TV. Ben Stiller plays a really good sociopathic villain in Dodgeball, and Vince Vaguhn, does great as the main character. I just wish Dodgeball and Tropic Thunder could've gotten a sequel... but at least both "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story", and "Tropic Thunder", are 2 of my favorite Ben Stiller movies, and both "Zoolander", films, are my favorite films he's been in, but Tropic Thunder comes dangerously close to stealing that spotlight away. Because of how hilarious it was. I also remember "Tropic Thunder", being both the first film I saw in theaters with my Mom back in 2008, for my 15th birthday(because 2008 was the year I turned 15; and Tropic Thunder came out around that time; had Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black; Brandon Jackson, and some other guy besides Ben Stiller(whos name i cant remember, but he reminded me of the skinny dude from "Superbad"; not Michael Cera; who was also in Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, another awesome film, but I mean Superbad, which had that one guy; Mclovin, and in my opinion, both Superbad and Scott Pilgrim, are both amazingly great films, and Michael Cera's best performances). But I've never gotten either film on DVD, but I've seen both movies on TV, and that's cool though. But the 1st DVD I got, after Dodgeball, was Tropic Thunder; although; unfortunately, my DVD for Tropic Thunder broke a few years ago. Like literally broke; into pieces. It stopped working one time, and then broke in half. It's too bad; Tropic Thunder, is one of the BEST movies ever made; ever. It's the thing that reignited the careers of: Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, and even Ben Stiller for awhile. I'm only saying, it'd be great to see a 2nd Tropic Thunder...with the same cast, but I guess it's also maybe better this way? So we don't accidentally somehow see one of the best movies ever made get a disappointing sequel. Also, sorry if my comment went on longer than I expected. But thanks for listening either way.

❤ Great video my Man! I just want to point out some things I think you might have missed... 1. Zoolander's look "Blue Steel" stoped a ninja star mid flight, saving the leader of a country. Hence the amazement, they weren't just blown away by the look on his face 😂 2. Hansel says "Cut my bangs, I'm blind out there." Then proceeds to scream. Which is a Boxing reference, when a fighters eye is swollen mid fight. They'll ask the person in their corner to cut it, to relieve the swelling 😂

It's too bad both dvd's broke a long time ago...because I still love those films. And while I wanted to see Zoolander on DVD, that never happened, same thing with the Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson "Starksy & Hutch" movie they were in together, which was like the Ben Stiller version of "Rush Hour"; the film trilogy that Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan did together. Third genders and the concept of gender as an ever-changing spectrum have been around for thousands of years in various cultures. Two-Spirit in certain indigenous American groups, a four gender spectrum in Dine communities, Hijras in South Asian countries, tomboy as a distinct gender in late 1800s England, Mukhannathun in pre-Islamic Arabia (this one in particular outdates even Christianity), in pre-colonial India there was barely even a distinction between genders and most of the God(esse)s were portrayed as gender and sexfluid, Aristophanes (and Plato to some extent- really depends on when in his life we're discussing) believed that male and female came from the original androgynous sex, Mesopotamian tablets contain various references to people who were neither man nor woman. I could go on ad infinitum. The way we see gender in our portion of the earth (assuming you're from a Western country, probably North America) is bizarre relative to other historical and even modern attitudes on the subject. Why does it bother you so much that people want to express themselves outside of your narrow world view?

Zoolander 2 is, in my opinion, the only sequel of the 'legacy' comedy classics (Anchorman, Dumb and Dumber, Super Troopers, etc) that managed to not suck. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson slipped right back in to their characters rsther than being charicatures of themselves, which was the biggest issue of the other mentioned sequels. I hesitantly await Dodgeball 2.
