Wade Ripple shares some similarities with Barley Lightfoot from Onward: -Both are their film’s deuteragonist. -Both are blue humanoids with well-built bodies. -Both have siblings. Wade has an older brother called Alan and a younger non-binary sibling called Lake and Barley has a younger brother called Ian. -Both serve as their film’s protagonist’s protector. Wade to his girlfriend, Ember and Barley to his younger brother, Ian. -Both lost their father before the main events of their films and they both regretted not doing something with/for them while they were still alive. Wade regretted not agreeing on anything and not having enjoyed time or tying loose ends with Dewey while he was alive and Barley regretted not saying goodbye to Wilden in person in the ICU due to being afraid of his condition.
