I love how Karl doesn't give us a fake reaction to these wonders of the world like others do. At the end of the day, people have hyped them up so MUCH, that you expect to feel something when you finally visit them...and then you get there and think to yourself "that's it?" followed by "what am i meant to be getting out of this?"

I wouldn't go that far, a lot of people don't find him funny, and really, to be considered a national treasure everyone would need to know who he is, he'd have to be household name, kind of like David Attenborough. Not everyone that knows Ricky Gervais knows who Karl Pilkington is believe it or not.

Oh, Spencer, the way you completely freak out at male bodies is hilarious!! As a Scot who lived in Greece for 20 years, my advice is always keep your sunglasses on. Believe me, no-one stares but it's very hard not to have a quick look. Like you two, the introduction always makes me smile. Really enjoyed that one guys. :)

The bottled water is same In Europe lol. I live uk but if visit mainland Europe I don't have water ice or salads because wash it in water... I was really poorly in Spain from it. France isn't that bad but if go south France by Mediterranean then 100% bottled again or its like drinking salt, same with Greece etc.

Clipping/shaving before waxing actually makes it hurt worse. Sometimes I was my beard and it is much nicer when you left it grow for a few weeks. It still hurts but it takes 2 weeks to grow the same it does in 2 days after shaving

Yesterday I was thinking about it and I don’t believe that Christ the Redeemer should be considered on the same level as the pyramids or Petra. It’s like calling the Statue of Liberty a “wonder of the world”. Edit: not that I think it’s not cool or interesting (and it is in a beautiful landscape). It’s just a statue built in modern times

Thank you for the reaction! Very entertaining. The only problem I had with this episode was that I could never be sure of the gentlemens' sexual identity. So ambiguous! They just did not make it clear enough. Also, I never fail to be amused by Americans' absolute horror at the sight of a human body. It's incredible that they are happy to watch humans being dismembered and murdered on screen (the Punisher, John Wick, etc.) but flinch in disgust at the sight of a normal human form. Utterly baffling.

He's a Brit ?? Yes, it get's hot there in spring & summer. You slightly redeemed yourself with "Brazil Hot" (slightly). Try going to the south or southeast of Britain in spring or summer when its 90 degrees+ fahrenheit or more, combined with 70-90% humidity. Unless you're from Saudi Arabia, most people from anywhere in the world are going to find Rio hot in the absolute height of summer. /C'mon.

Never understood the fear of being around other people... You know what reinforced heterosexuality is? Being able to try some hot shorts or a thong and walk down a gay beach or sit with some gay fellas and not feel awkward or terrified that it will influence you or change how people view you. NOT "this only reinforces my heterosexuality", and in the next sentence say "you'd never ever allow yourself to be in that situation". Doesn't sound too confident to me! They would have sent him there in February from winter in the northern hemisphere to Rio, in the southern hemisphere, where February is the peak of summer & the warmest month in Rio, when the carnival usually happens. He's come from a place where it also goes 9 on the UV index occasionally in the summer so his skin is hardly going to peel off. You're American's, I get it & that level of exaggeration is pretty funny here, although I get that you're exaggerating for the comical purposes of this video. Probably more that you guys are talking from your own personal points of view here. Apart from the humidity at the start, he coped completely fine with it & on at least a couple more occasions further in to the episode said that it is not too uncomfortable.
