It was an old car. Land Rovers, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Morgan, Caterham, McLaren, MG, Bentley, Triumph. That’s just to name a few. Britain has a lot of good car brands. His car was shot because it was old.

My 20 year old British designed and built Rover 75 works great, never let me down once, has 160,000 on the clock, is extremely comfortable, has never lost a drop of oil in the 5 years I've owned it and apart from the odd minor consumable run of the mill replacement part is fine and dandy. Had a different 75 before for 4 years and that was exactly the same.

The plane doesn't go out of the atmosphere! If it did, it would be a spaceship! It flies in a parabolic arc so its rate of descent is the same as gravity, and you are falling towards earth but so is the plane, so you are weightless only in comparison to the plane surrounding you.

We do that sauna and birch twigs thing in Sweden too. It increases blood circulation, bring on a lovely fresh smell from the leaves and helps getting off dead skin making the skin very soft afterwards. It feels super nice. Though we tend to his ourselves with the birch twigs, not others.

Karl and his swim with the sharks in Australia, luckily he survived it. On Wednesday we had a tragic fatal shark attack here in Sydney Australia. I would never wanna be so close to a shark even in a cage.

The car the taxi driver is using is a Land Rover Discovery series 1. The production was between 1989 to 1999. For a potential 33 year old car that will not have been serviced or maintained correctly in poverty stricken Russia I am amazed the car is still running. I forgot that Russia makes the best cars in the world - "NOT", AKA Moscowvitch & Lada - lol 😆

I think the reason they always exposed Karl to situations with nearly nude men, is because, like you two, Karl freaks out and is unable to actually experience the actual place for what it is - which is humorous, watching insecure people come unstuck over nothing at all. Especially while on a once in a lifetime journey.

Uk cars are mainly only luxury as lost cost manufacturing moved elsewhere. We have Bentley, Aston Matrin, Land Rover, Royles Royce, Mclaren, TVR, Jaguar, Lotus.

It’s crazy how underdeveloped the American rail system is that it’s a legitimate question if you’ve been on a train. I rarely use them in the uk but they’re fairly common. I actually like them as a way to travel, they’re less anxiety inducing as a bus and you can get food and sleep and have your own space

Daniel, you've never been on a train? 😀 I've been on plenty in the UK and I've even been on one in the USA (2016) from Albany to Manhattan. It's actually a great way to travel, much better than a bus as you can move around a lot more. I find there is something very civilised about travelling by train.

I thought you would have know who Warwick Davis was, he was in the Star Wars movies as an Ewok, Harry Potter and the film Willow, he does tv also and has done work with Ricky Gervais, I dunno if you have seen Ricky Gervais Extras tv series but Warwick is one of those episodes but if you've not seen Extras I highly recommend it, very funny.

Ricky and Steve script actors in all the countries they send Karl to, to make things sound/be worse for him (sorry to burst if that’s bursts any bubbles for anyone lol but if it helps Karl is completely still unaware that there is any actors involved and thinks it’s all real) As for cars we have the Aston Martin, McLaren, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Morris Minor, some absolute classics and decent cars ☺️. .. they just try and make things as bad for Carl as humanly possible and it’s always been hysterically funny but Karl is always partially aware and has an opt out and is always safe if that helps anybody’s peace of mind. Karl is involved in what happens because he has to know that he’s going to make good TV he’s always said that off camera and plays up to it a little bit but he is generally that character anyway😂 Karl always had a translator, security and had always checked things before he actually gets filmed doing them …he’s always completely safe we can’t go destroying Karl he’s like a national treasure lol !

The aircraft flies at a normal altitude, same as airliners, but creates a weightless environment by diving steeply, and everything inside the plane is essentially in free-fall for a short period

That swing arm only managed to go up to 1G, that's earths gravity. He would have felt the same pressure as just laying down. Even translator seems to be in on the "let's fuck with Karl" crowd. When he asked that healer, what are they doing, he answered digging a grave, and translator only said digging, leaving Karl to figure it out for himself. Karl can't even imagine, that a friend might have had a motorbike that the dude had an accident with. If he can't see it, it must not exist, same as that national wrestling gear. Typical smooth brain.

The British car industry is dead. Minis and Rolls Royce are BMW owned. Jaguar-Land Rover are owned by Indian company Tata Motors. Lotus sports cars are owned by a Malaysian company. Our Motor industry is as dead as Detroit's, my friends. But yes, British built cars are notoriously poor - especially in the 1970s, that's when it all started going to the dogs and it's never fully recovered. Even British built Fords suffered in comparison to the German built models. Fords were built in a British town called Dagenham and became known in the 70s as "Dagenham Dustbins". We have Morgan sports cars - but they're hand-built and are not production cars. AC Cars that make the Brit version of the Shelby Cobra - but again, not production cars. All the foreign owned British marques nowdays are as good as any car though.

The British car industry died in the 70's and in the 70's and 80's we produced awful cars. Now all the industry is overseas owned. To get political here I think British Industry which in many fields were once world leaders, was deliberatly driven down and closed down in order for us to enter the Common Market, which of course now is the EU. Yes huge statement, but I tend to look at ALL the pieces of the jigsaw, rather than the pieces fed by the media.

1G is the standard force we all feel, the normal force of earth's gravity. On a flight you'll feel about 1.3Gs. 2Gs would be 2 times your weight. And 9Gs would be the pressure of 9 times your own body weight on you.

Yes as far as I'm aware, 0 gravity flights don't go anywhere near close to the edge of space. It's just a regular flight, but it drops a ridiculous amount of 1000's of feet per second, quicker than the speed gravity would naturally pull you down to the ground, hence why you float. Bit like putting a cherry in a tub, if you move that tub fast in a downwards fashion, quicker than the speed the cherry would naturally fall to the ground if dropped, the cherry will stick to the roof of the tub until it slows down again... And btw, I'm no SJW & not offended in the least, but I'd just like to point something out, because this is a question I had to stop & ask myself a few years back. Why did Spencer feel the need to tell us the old lady he spoke to on the train was black? Not having a go, it wasn't offensive, majority of folk do it, I used to. But it was irrelevant, and you wouldn't say you were talking the this old white woman, if she was white. She'd just be 'an old woman.' Genuinely 1 day telling my Mum a story about my travels to her house, mentioned seeing a young black kid with a big massive smile that was contagious, because the wee guy was just so cute & happy looking... Then just stopped & asked myself out loud, why did I have to mention what race he was, why didn't I just say a kid was running towards me with a big smile? I've stopped since then... Just food for thought.

I believe the miserable guy has an 80s Land Rover which are dog sh… - jaguar was UK now Indian owned - Rolls Royce now owned by BMW - Bentley is part of Audi VW group - Lotus still on the fringes but on a positive every f1 is based in the UK so technically British built so still holding on 😂

Vacation destinations, they get popular, become victims of their own success, become hell holes and then collapse. Trick is to go to places before they become too popular - this happened here in Europe with the Algarve most recently - and Spain before that - the Portuguese authorities in the late-90's swore they wouldn't destroy themselves like Spain had previously and here we are a couple of decades later and it's mostly an utter hell hole. The fault of tourists mostly of course but you can stop these things happening, the main trick is keeping it prohibitively expensive to being over-successful. "no more than 9G" - eject from an aircraft is a couple of hundred G; people experience 9G all the time, not fatal; there's a whole range of factors that play a part, but yeah for extended periods I'd say more like 6 without G suits etc.

Looked like the british car he was complaining about was landrover/rangerover. Yeah they aren’t that reliable but who doesnt like a rangerover

British cars had some quality issues in the 70s/80s, but generally are ok. But in Russia they use 'em til they fall to pieces and fix them with no original parts.

I can attest to that, we use our cars until it's broken. And then, we strip it and use the components elsewhere.

We've got plenty of decent cars, I mean there's the Aston Martin to start with, there's your Rolls Royce as you said, you have the MINIs, there are plenty, but of course there are some pretty shite ones too, this could be a Rover maybe? We have the vauxhall as well, so it kind of depends, I'm by no means an expert but there's a bit of a brief overview there.
