Too lazy to write a lot of subtitles but please do ask if theres something that is not clear from the pictures/video

I have a similar magnetic scales DRO on my Warco WM180 but the cross slide equipment is on the right of the saddle to keep it away from swarf. I would not like to be without it even though it is a very basic low resolution system compared to the glass scales on my mill. It is a real upgrade to any lathe.

I also have an Emco compact 8, and you're pretty much forced to put the X scale on the chuck side of the carriage, because else the tail stock can't get close enough / you loose too much tail stock travel. (also the gib adjusting screws are in the way)

I think you have two lathes. Is this the big lathe or the small lathe?

Yes I do have two now. This is the smaller one, the one that started it all. I did a lucky find in june 2021 and acquired an Emco Maximat Super 11 lathe to go with this one. I am installing dro on that one aswell at the moment and try to upload a short vid from that aswell when I get it done.

The scales alone cost more than the entire lathe.
