If you are doing high rpms then you dont need to press clutch till the last moment of breaking as engine breaking also helps if you don't press clutch. If you press clutch bike will be free and takes more distance.

Braking tips are ok but DON'T EVER SAY "U DON'T NEED An ABS". Your completely misguiding people about tips on braking AND SAFETY OF A ABS. You have shown this braking method on dry ashaplt raod which offers good traction under heavy braking. DO THIS TYPE OF BRAKING IN WET CONDITION LIKE FIRST DAY OF RAINS WHERE RESIDUE OIL AND WATER MAKES THE RAOD VERY SLIPPERY OR ON WET CONCTETE ROADS WHERE TRACTION IS LESS. UNDER PANIC BRAKING U WILL BE THROWN OUT OF YOUR BIKE 90 PERCENT OF THE TIME.

As he said you don't need an ABS.... if you need the higher risk to crash. If you have the option to choose between ABS and non-ABS, choose ABS. It doesn't matter if you save a few hundred bucks! In a bad situation you won't think and break like a maniac and ABS helps you to stay alive!

In extreme cases I've had the experience of slow-motion while under adrenaline rush. Everything just slows down. I become tunneled vision. I could see every little movement in a fixed area. Has this happened to anybody else? p.s. I've also notice that I automatically honk/horn when in an emergency braking situation...to alert the car behind me. Sometime it amazes me. 😂

ABS is a very helpful feature my friend. Manual techniques find it a little hard to cope up with ABS. Basically, ABS let's you stop the bike with ease, without the risk of skidding even if there's gravel or wet roads! Beginners on 200cc+ bikes should have ABS, mandatory.

Demo was good but these do not work during a panic situation when an animal or nut head comes in front of you@70 you might not have time for pumping braking action and you might have a bad fall when the road is wet or with bad roads. So here ABS comes to you for your rescue which does the pumping action for you without letting the wheel lock and skid! All manufacturers who produce powerful bikes for public road commute should consider this. For me before 8 years i had a bad fall @70 when a dog came from another lane of the road.. so lets try to wear some riding Jacket which might reduce the injuries if you have a fall. I bought Camster riding gear after 4 months of the incident mentioned above to protect myself but i need to use it regularly when i take my bike out now in the 200 feet road. Thanks for the video man, appreciate the effort :)

Good info...but not always a life saver....braking at equal ratio is essential but while panic braking ...this doesnt work at all....wherein the ABS becomes a mandatory for safety measures. i own a FZ V2.0 (rear drum brake doesnt work at all on the move) and i have fallen half a dozen of times because of bike skidding during panic braking. i wonder why Yamaha is not worried about ABS even in its latest edition (R15 V3). I suggest its better to go for a bike with ABS as a basic feature. At high RPMs and with our Indian road conditions and mad motorists around....an ABS is the most essential part of any bike (whether it is a commuter or a Track bike)

in bikes 100% of the braking is done by the front brakes. Fastest way of stopping is that. However,it is not recommended as riders are not professional racers. Secondly, if you will pump the brakes( like told in the video) you are increasing peak pressure and hence you may fall. Apply brakes progressively and use 70:30 ratio from front to back in bikes due to higher frontal weight and 40:60 front:back in scooty/scooter as weight distribution tips towards the rear. DON'T NEGLECT ABS AS IT HELPS WHEN YOU DO PANIC BRAKING AS THAT TIME YOU CANNOT THINK OF ALL THE TECHNIQUES AND YOU JUST MASH THE LEVER TO STOP.

thanks your right but there's something wrong.if your talking about emergency breaking.you can used the change gear action.if your using the front brake brother you need to push and holding with control your handle..its my advice.even you well full brake no will not happen to you rear and foot brake
@nikosnix
@nikosnix 6 жыл бұрын
I think you have to rls the rear break too, cause if it blocks it doesn't stop faster and u loose the control of the bike. Also it's 30% rear break and 70% front...the rear break is for balance. So first start with the rear break and then with the front. Keep it easy and safe rides bro 😊

Bro should we apply the rear brakes in the same manner as the front brake i.e- press-release, press- release instead of pressing the brake and letting the tire slide. I have read that if we do that then the tires won't slide resulting in quicker braking.
@rajpradeep87
@rajpradeep87 5 жыл бұрын
The trick is to hold both rear and front brake, but the pressure to be applied is 60% in rear and 40% front brake also you should lean a little bit forward so that your weight will also help to reduce the momentum, but in a sudden state even experts will miss the method..

ABS never promise to save you from unforeseen situation. It's a new edge engineering to keep your ride safer to some extent in emergency circumstances. If you know your bike well, if know yourself well, in that case I guess you don't need to depend on ABS. Traditional breaking will do just fine. On the other hand if you are kind of guy who loves street race and stuff, disobeying traffic signals, irresponsible driving, no helmet no gear then my friend even ABS will fail to do its work. Anyway nice and informative video mate 👍 you're doing great.

See lack of ABS has got it's own advantages. When you brake a bike like Ninja 650 at 120 kmph , you should have imbibed the technique and in emergency your natural reaction would be what you had already digested as a habit or imbibed into your blood , so to say. First you should press down rear brake slightly with your toes ( off course you must wear boots) or the edge of your boots and then in a split second you should pull in front brake , and then you shall press a little more of rear brake. And at the same , as the speed come down change gear ( engine braking ) and leave the clutch again change the gear ( to lower) and release the clutch to slow down damn very fast . Otherwise if you do not release the clutch , it is of no use at a all. At the same time , the situation could be that a bus coming in the opposite direction could leave you only an earthen road or the road under construction with pebbles. If you hold front brake, within seconds you would fall. There would be no time to control because the front tyre would roll on pebbles or small concrete. In such situations immediately release the front and press down rear brake , it will not skid . But in all cases you must wear jacket ,boots,helmet when you ride on national highways because almost 40% of people on Indian roads are definitely idiots.

Oh wow. Here I was thinking the best way to brake is by, loading the front suspension, then transferring all the weight to the front tyre, and then squeezing the front brake progressively harder while grabbing the sides of the tank with my legs to anchor myself to the bike and ensuring my weight is not transferred to my hands.

Hi Cherry Vlogs, nice video, but I don't agree with you when you say the front brake should NOT be applied continuously. When you release the front brake, the pressure on the front wheel is released, which also decreases the front grip (the more weight on a wheel, the more grip). In the case of emergency braking, if you apply hard, release, re-apply, and so on, you can be almost sure to lock the front wheel (locking the rear is not a problem). I would rather advise to brake continuously with all 4 fingers on the lever, and slightly release from the pinkie if the wheel locks, but don't release the brake completely to avoid the fork bouncing. In case of emergency braking, most of all you want stability! Moreover, it is best to get your arms straightened and all of you body locked in order to assure stability. If you loose the front: locking the front is not an issue if you are properly locked, but with bent arms, on the contratry, you can be sure to go sideways if you lock (and that usually ends on the ground...). It's even more true if you have a pillion pushing you.

If you skid when you brake you're doing it wrong! You lose traction when the wheels skid - I've done a couple of emergency stops (without ABS) and thankfully I did it right but given the option I'd still rather have ABS.

Rear tyre is locked , what abs is doing is prevent tyre from locking ... We simulate abs by using hand ... If our bike doesn't had abs, the ride safe speed and keep a safe distance ... Any way this method is work in highways ...

If you want to improve braking on a non abs bike , change the brake line to steel braided hose and change brake pads to sinistered ones like ebc.
