I was at work the night Jokic hit the crazy game winner against the warriors. I was watching as much as I could on my phone the entire night. The nuggets were getting shelled, SARIC specifically was hitting some insaneeee shots, he single handedly made me turn the game off when we were down 18 late. Imagine my shock checking social media after clocking out 😂 Saric definitely has value and can be an incredible shot maker. Only difference is, he doesn’t have a 7 foot Serbian Demi god to hit game winners against his team anymore. Excited for this move.

@@travisnoffsinger4507 Its ok, he is the bench version of Jokic, yes jokic has gotten better at d but Holmes, gordon, watson, braun, they are all here to play the d inside and out that Jokic can't as well and now Saric. So when jokic goes to bench, we have poor man jokic to pass, shoot and rebound and the rest of the guys can keep playing the same way they play with jokic.

Poor fella has only 2 playoffs, but has performed really good (40+% 3pt and almost 90% FT in playoffs). His still only 29, and has had injuries that has ruined some of his peak years.. the player option sucks, because i see him drawing a lot of good inspiration from playing on the same team with Jokic. Nuggets are winning 2025 NBA title, and Saric will be worth 10-15mil$ per year.

Adam doing the show from his car while on vacation!! And with great audio and video quality!! Saric is at least a competent player and brings much needed 3 pt shooting to the backup bigs. Saric along with Vlatko* and Strawther gives the Nuggets backups shooting to surround whoever gets staggered (Jokic or Murray) or, maybe, Westbrook. That reduces the importance of PWatt improving from 3, though hopefully he does. *assuming he rounds back into form as a decent 3 pt shooter.

Very good signing. While Dario is not defensive player , he's very nice shooter and willing and good passer and he came in relatively cheap.

Saric is a pretty good addition, but losing KCP is more impactful than acquiring Saric. However, if the Nuggets can acquire Westbrook, they MIGHT break even this offseason if CB has a breakout year.

#5 starters on team are usually expendable, doesn't mean they arent beloved. Now more than even just two years ago. I think Braun defensive contribution will be different but as impactful as KCP (he has great success against the Kyrie, Steph, navigating thru screens but we saw bigger stronger guards like Ant and Booker worked over kcp in playoffs.) My worries is strictly on offense and specifically the threat of a corner three. The idea of Russ, Braun playing together some minutes is scary.

It's like my old dad always said "well, it's better than a sharp stick in the eye!" Saric doesn't instantly make the Nuggets favorites in the Western Conference, but it does potentially help. A lineup with Saric, Peyton Watson, DeRon Holmes, Russell Westbrook and Christian would be a defensively great team with 2 big floor spacers in Holmes and Saric. They might also stagger MPJ for more shooting. The one weakness would be "how well does Jalen Pickett handle backup rotation minutes? Because he will have to play a lot unless the Nuggets pick up another veteran point guard. Westbrook only played 68 games/ 20 mpg and can't play any more than that without breaking down in mid-season. Last year Reggie Jackson played all 82 games (which was a mistake). You can't play any of Denver's backup PGs nearly that much. So, the PG rotation is still mighty thin with only 2 ball handlers behind Jamal Murray (who has his own injury concerns).

What I’m most upset about right now is how we treated KCP. Calvin Booth and the FO gave Zeke Nnaji an unproven bench player a guaranteed contract, while KCP doesn’t even get an offer at the start free agency, according to his words today. You don’t treat your champion like that. I’m still doubtful Booth can scrap something together from this.

Adam mentioned this a few podcasts ago. Most likely Booth was given a "spending threshold" by the owner and if KCP's contract goes over that limit, then unfortunately it's a no go. We probably could have matched Orlando's offer, but we wouldn't get the Tax Player MLE of $5.2 mil to work with. The KCP loss leads to a slightly worse starting lineup but a much improved bench especially if we can sign another veteran scoring guard like a Lonnie Walker or Gary Trent Jr. That's how I view the loss of KCP. Also, KCP is the 5th and oldest starter on the team and is the most replaceable player out of the starter. Of course, all Nuggets fans would rather keep KCP, but if it somehow handicaps you financially in the short/long term like preventing the team from improving its bench depth, management has to make the hard decision of letting the guy go.

@@gnomechomsky2524 I know. Ethnicity and what you are is not defined by borders. You can be Jewish from Russia, Ukraine, or Spain, and play for their nation but still be Jewish. Same with Serbs. A lot of 'em were forced to denounce their ethnicity/faith due to the Holocaust and being Serb wasn't popular kind of like how being Jewish wasn't popular in Germany ect. Ethnically both parents are of Serbian origin according to some sources.

😂😂😂😂 Signing a ofense orientated player, while needing defensive players just highlights the ownership's prerogatives! CB is just playing with the cards/money he's been delt. Kroenke family are on it just for the profit, and are doing exactly the same ss they are in Arsenal! No more titles, jokic just might enjoy his money, and early playoff exist in the future. It's good for the Serbian national team though!

For the guy who says he has anxiety until Murray signs the extension, what's he gonna do? Leave us and go sign a bigger max in the free agency? Yes he has had great playoff performances, but he has struggled with injury for a while. He had nagging ones before the acl and has gotten worse after. If he thinks he can get a bigger contract than our extension without making an all star game, he is crazy. Not to hate on him, but he has had consistency issues and injuries problems. If someone gives him more than the extension we offered him, that team is crazy and good for him for the money, but he already has is getting a big max, he isn't ready for an allstar max with his injury/consistancy. He is not gonna be the same guy somewhere else without Jokic.

Why they signed Saric when they already have Nikola Jokic, DJ (there are reports they want to extended him), Zeke, Cancar and Holmes, and meanwhile in PG/SG just Jamal, CB , Picket, Watson and Strawther (more of them look like forwards than guards). Where Nuggets will generate 3s they almost do not have shooters especially if they signed Westbrook.

Zato sto je Zeke uzasno razocarenje koje je Booth preplatio sa 32 miliona i sada ne zna sta ce sa njim. DJ je tu da odrzva svlacionicu i nista vise. Ne sprdaj se sa Cancarom, tip igra na poziciji Jokicevog najboljeg druga, momak i nije toliko los, ali je miljama daleko recimo od Brusa Brauna. Moze biti 10-11 igrac u rotaciji. Nadamo se da Holms nije novi Zeke.

I think he creates bigger impact than Reggie especially his play making ability and getting the young guys to shine more. Nuggets would be a good landing spot but he has to be more mature this time around.

@@shule1982 Izvini na grubim recima. Ipak, ne shvatas se kako seleri kap funkcionise. Cak i americki novinari ne razumeju nova pravila i pravilo ``druge kecelje`` . Postoje ``prva i druga kecelja`` ili presek novca koji timovi ne smeju da predju. KCP su mogli ponudili 20 mil jer je NJIHOV igrac i imali su sansu da izjednace ponudu Orlandai predju ``drugu kecelju ili presek`` koji je mislim 190 miliona. Svaki dolar preko 190 mil se visestruko i nezamislivo mnogo oporezuje, tako da vecina vlasnika ne zeli da placa to. Bogdanovica ne mogu da dovedu jer NIJE NJIHOV igrac i pare od KCP NE MOGU da se ponude Bogdanu jer bi presli 190 Miliona. Jedini nacin da dovedu Bogdana je trejd. Tipa MPJ za Huntera i Bogdana. Ali niko nece da prihvati OGROMAN ugovor MPJ. I sad ono najvaznije: Timu koji predje 190 miliona u sezoni BLOKIRAJU Pikovi, Blokraj se trejd i blokiraju se ostale transakcije u vezi sa izgradnjom tima u narednim godinama. ``Prva kecelja`` ili cap je 170 miliona. I ona ako se predje placa se porez, samo malo manji. Dakle seleri kap moze da se probije ako se plati igrac koji je vec u timu, ali ne i dovodjenjem igraca iz drugog tima.

Lemme explain myself, as I have a suspicious feeling that "nuggets media" won't understand a word I said. - We needed a backup center and a backup guard-creator. That's what we needed. We got 6'9" Zeke 1.1 and then we got 6'10" Zeke 1.5. And we still have Zeke. We STILL do NOT have a backup center, nor we have a backup guard-creator. We got 2 "kinda, maybe" 4s. One more "maybe" than the other. Now, the "big success" will be getting Russel Westbrook... A 35yo "PG" that has more TOs than ASTs. And can't shoot. And is 35yo. Denver trades away what amounts to peanuts! Unlike Westbrook, Saric won’t weaken the Nuggets. Of course, he won't make them much stronger either, but it's still a better trade than bringing in Westbrook!
