Meleys is noted in Fire and Blood as being a very fast dragon. Rhaenys could have fled Rook's Rest but instead she chose to stay and fight Aemond and Aegon.

My hope is that they will do the Eyrie justice. GOT made it look completely different from how it’s described in the books. I want to see it as it’s described. I want to see ppl on mules traveling up the mountain and see the baskets that carry them up the last 600 ft. If they do it right I’ll be very happy.

First things first, I’m ready to see rhaenys vs. aegon, according to this video, rooks rest should be around episode 4 so at least we won’t have to wait long to see a dragon battle, not sure if aemond and dameon will go down in season 2 or 3 🤷🏼♂️

@@daniellirette7226Daemon vs Aemond is going to happen in S3 for certain and NOT in s2 (which will only be 8 episodes and already has plenty to cover). S2 will likely end in the middle of the Battle of the Gullet or right after where Rhaenyra takes KL. They'll likely use the 1st half(-ish) of s3 to depict Rhaenyra's 6 month reign (DvA takes place towards the back end of Rhaenyra's reign). -If the show lasts 3 seasons then DvA will happen earlier in S3 (especially if it ends up being 12 episodes) -If the show ends up being 4 seasons then DvA will happen towards the middle of s3.

Henry Cavill is already 40 while Aegon was about 24 when he started the conquest with his sisters. That's just too far of a gap. The show isn't even greenlit yet and even then preproduction would take about 2 years before they even start filming. Also Henry is too bulky in build compared to Aegon. It just doesn't fit. It would be best if someone unknown (around age 25) got casted who could make the role truly his own.

It's just a place where a ton of the business involved in tv/film is done, by tons of large and small production companies. I know you probably want to believe Hollywood is some monolithic corrupt business where no one works hard and it's dedicated to shitty products and p*dophilia or something so I hate to burst your bubble but things aren't bad because "Hollywood made them" and good because "someone somewhere else in America" didn't. @@originalloverman It has the potential to be such a great tv moment because it's probably much more visceral and "shocking" than people who haven't read/spoiled the books and are waiting for a big dragon fight like this are expecting. They definitely pulled no punches with the more brutal parts of S1 like the childbirth scene right off the bat, but the story up until Viserys' death is so tame relative to the later events of the dance. Things get DARK for basically everyone in the kingdoms at one point or another down to the smallfolk in King's Landing, and I think they're less afraid to stick closer to the books in that respect because it isn't the huge worldwide phenomenon that GoT was. A LOT of the brutal, merciless, and just straight-up evil acts/events either talked about or committed in ASOIAF were toned down for the show, while HOTD feels much more "faithful" when it comes to that aspect of the story.

@@originalloverman There's an awful lot of people who seem to think this is what's going to open season 2, without once giving any thought to the broader story. Blood & Cheese will not happen in the first episode. It cannot happen before episode 2 and is more likely to happen in episode 3. This is one of those scenes that has to be done properly, not to make Readers happy but so that Watchers know WTF is going on. Trying desperately to avoid spoilers... The person this scene has the most impact on is currently a one note background character. This character MUST BE developed further, or the entire scene is meaningless. Elsewhere, a certain other character is alleged to have been responsible for B&C, setting things in motion between the first two battles of the war. It looks like the first of those battles has already been changed for the show, so we'll see where they go with it. Most importantly, there's a major character missing from Season 1. Putting aside that it was a significant blunder to not even mention the existence of this person in Season 1, they provide a way to tell B&C that Watchers will not see coming. This character must be introduced BEFORE B&C is put in motion to provide misdirection that could last an entire episode. This character has to be introduced first so that Watchers have sympathy and take the misdirecting bait. B&C is the HotD equivalent to a certain Season 4 GoT scene. It's a major set piece that Readers are looking forward to and Watchers don't see coming. Done properly, it will be talked about for years, and that's simply not going to happen if they do it in the first episode with no build up and un-developed characters.

I feel like she’s gonna die way earlier in the show than in the books. Or like they’re gonna move up that battle between Meleys / Vhagar. I suspect that’s why they had her do the big spectacle in the penultimate episode of the season. Perhaps to justify her getting killed off way earlier than we expected. Or heck maybe she doesn’t die til the end of the season. I’m excited either way.

Westerosi term for opium, they discovered at some point just like us that the poppy can be "milked" to produce a potent painkiller. Heroin and Morphine are related to it chemically but they're not produced in the way that name implies. Milk of the poppy is essentially just a term we could have used in an alternate history to refer to what we call opium.

Best thing - The battle at rooks rest, it’s going to be our first dragon v dragon battle we can actually see in the GoT universe. (Rhaegal, drogon v undead viserion doesn’t count imo) Best character - Aemond for me

How the heck people see if its Aemond or Ageon in that first shot? Could be Ageon wearing a crown... or am I missing something? Or someone just have magical eyes? :D I am so confusion. I thought in the story its Ageon doing that not Aemond, its just so strange.

Watching Others try to mount the Dragons will be great scenes so many will be eaten or burned and the ones who does mount dragons watching them he dragons turn on them when bored will be great scenes as well. Also seeing the dragons caged up and everyone trying to kill them all and watching the Dragon trying to escape and all that glass falling down killing rest of dragons will be upsetting. The Greens definitely started the war with the Blacks that’s for sure. Season 2 should be full of excitement and great battle scenes

What I would love to see is the CONTINUANCE of the "Dunk and Egg" stories into the ascendance and reign of Aegon V, exiling Bryndon Rivers for executing the Blackfyre pretender, Aegon's older brother the maester accompanying him to the Night's Watch, then the trouble Aegon's children got up to, marrying woods-witch commoners for love, then whatever disaster unfolded at Summerhall that killed so many and put the Mad King on the throne!

The battle between Damon and Aemond is going be awesome, can’t Waite for Damon to shove his sword through his eye and they both fall . And then King Ageon being burned and badly wounded but them some how escapes while Princess Rhany destroys king landing and then King Aegon is waiting on Rhany as King Aegon sitting on the Throne lol.

Daemon vs Aemond will happen in S3 NOT S2(which is only 8 episodes and already has enough material to depict). Also, Aegon II wasn't waiting for Rhaenyra while he nor she was on the Throne, he was waiting for her on a regular wooden chair on Dragonstone.

The Greens or Queen Alicent’s children were wiped out after the civil war though House Hightower is still there but it became a minor house centuries later. Yes, Rhaenerya’s blood line continued through her son ( Aegon III ) with Prince Daemon. Aegon III became king and continued the bloodline

Aegon III did become king but ultimately the bloodline persevered through the line of his younger brother, Viserys II. - Aegon III is succeeded by his son Daeron I the Young Dragon. -Then Daeron is soon succeeded by his younger brother Baelor I the Blessed. -Baelor is then succeeded by his uncle Viserys II who is swiftly succeeded by his son Aegon IV the Unworthy and from there the line continues all the way to Daenerys.

Have you not watched Game of Thrones? This is a prequel series. Game of Thrones was great. It’s later seasons werent as strong as the earlier ones, but overall it was a amazing show. If you’ve not watched it, I would recommend you do. I think you’d be more invested in this if you do. I didn’t watch one episode when it was airing. We subscribed to HBOMax & I was bored & turned it on one day. After the first episode, I was hooked.
