This man deserves monetary compensation far beyond whatever this video makes him. You sir, deserve a saxxy award.

I just really like how Soldier went from funny to a serious character after learning the evil that lies in the territory. This is so far, the best SFM movie I've ever watched in my life.

Can we talk about Spy for a second? When Spy says "Who is there to save ME, Jules?" He overlooks Soldier. Soldier not only saved him once, during the confrotation with Heavy, but twice, when he tackled Spy to cover. He overlooks the fact it was his own fault, not Soldiers, that the Car blew up. He overlooks that Soldier just couldn't save him, not that he didn't try. When he flicks the cigeratte at Pyro, he never crossed his mind that he would've gotten burnt. He never realized that almost everything bad that happened to him was his own fault, and you could argue that his murder was technically his own fault too, since his insane depravity lead to Medic murdering him. He's a massive fucking hypocrite.

this is a proof that we dont need films with good graphics or effects but it just needs to have good foundation

I'd like to imagine this is the kind of story the BLU team gets involved in regularly, while RED is fighting robots and teleporting bread.

The 2fort respawn machine being broken and producing deformed mercs actually does a great job at explaing why T-posing scouts are such a common sight on the map.

19:39 I really love that the raindrops bounce off of Fritz’s head instead of simply passing through him. Little details like that that Fortress Films didn’t “have” to put in show how much love and care was put into this film, and I’m LIVING for it!

I think the most fascinating thing about this movie is that none of the characters feel stupid or incompetent like most characters in horror movies every time they make I feel like I would make the same decision it makes the story feel so much more real.

This is the best SFM film i've ever seen, the way such a simple mechanic like respawning is twisted into a horror film is such a brilliant concept

"Everything burns" always a poetic end to stories.

I don't think anyone would have guessed a horror-thriller would be the first notable, high-quality, TRUE feature-length SFM animation, that was also still grounded it in the TF2 world (albeit with more grittiness/seriousness and the use of popular headcanons). Personally, I'm a sucker for any exploration into a respawn machine existing and explaining why there are just 9 mercenaries, especially when it explores just how potentially terrifying the concept can be. I genuinely enjoyed watching this abstract piece of art. Kudos to all those who worked on it! You guys put out a GREAT piece of artwork!

This and Pootis Engage stand on two opposite ends of what it means to be masterpieces of SFM work--Balls-to-the-wall screwball parody comedy on one end, dark and compelling psychological horror on the other.

My theory on Emesis Blue: In the midst of the war between the brothers, Jules Archibald along with several other companies were asked to aid the war, and make sure it was prolonged past its normal limit. Due to his prior experience with such technologies, he was asked to make something that could revolutionize war, and make soldiers unstoppable. Jules was greedy, thought he could so easily do it. But he went still to Dr. Ludwig, who said he could create something. He thought of the respawn machine, and began work unto it. At first, he tried malecular recalibration, which never worked. (Hence the experiments at the beginning resulting in obvious things missing; eyes, etc etc) But then, Dr. Ludwig got into the occult. He somehow managed to contact the devil, and struck a deal with him. The deal was his soul in exchange for infinite life being spawned into one machine (as the comics say, he made a deal with the devil and nobody knows what the devil gave to him), medics soul now spawned within the undertaker. (Hence why the undertaker leaves an "M" at all his crime scenes), and so the respawn machine works, just not in the way medic expected. It creates monsters, remnants of what people once were. Yet, Archibald gets greedy, and releases it on the front lines anyways. Eventually, when the war dies out, the Manns recruit survivors of the war, but they need one last person. They get Dr. Ludwig. They make them forget what happened with the respawn machines, i have no idea how but they do, and they already know that they can survive the machine. So they are recruited, and brought to the facilities. But then after years and years of endless fighting, something goes wrong. Scout gets trapped in the respawn machine, leaving him with SEVERE brain damage. He needs multiple scars, but he somehow lives, albeit with strange dreams and paranormalities surrounding him. The undertaker, medic's soul, deams him dead. He makes scout watch the tape, and kidnaps him. He gives him over to the two brothers, who then trap him until the Undertaker comes back. So Medic goes back to save him, but its too late. Scout knows he did this, that he caused all this hell and death, because he made a deal with the devil. (Hence the undertaker taking him and telling him this since the undertaker IS the medic), and runs away. The scout is then killed, and soldier and spy arrive. It turns out that all the characters in TF2 signed a contract with the devil, creating infinite copies of themselves, but the more and more those copies are made, the more damaged and corrupt they are. The medic is the least corrupt, because he's just a support figure in the game. He rarely dies. But players like the scout, they die so often that he becomes corrupted. The soldier crosses through hell, hence why all the bodies are there, the dead bodies of all of them over the endless years of fighting. TLDR: the tf2 characters sold their souls away to the devil and the more they die and the quicker the respawn machine works the more corrupt their bodies become Thanks for reading ❤❤

I just want to say, that the entire sequence with Scout in his home is genuinely unsettling. Scout listening to his own voice on the other end of the phone, his mothers' head peering out from around the corner at him with the whistling. It's just such a well done scene, so good.

So all of this happened during Halloween. Boy, this is the most intense Scream Fortress event I've ever seen.

Ngl this is the best of Source Filmmaker I have ever seen, props to you Fortress Films. I need to re-watch it again to even try to figure out what the hell I just watched haha 10/10!

I like how even when they're being attacked by insane serial killers and monsters, Red Demoman and Blu Soldier have a good time together since they're friends, just like in the lore.

Another thing; not only does Soldier get quieter the more happens to him, you also see more and more of his eyes as the movie progresses

This was terrifying at some parts, slightly funny at some parts, and it made me cry at the end. 100/10.
