Emily Blunt turned down two major Marvel roles, including Black Widow.
The Into the Woods star denies being offered the part of Captain Marvel in the studio’s upcoming first female-led superhero movie however, brushing off rumours as “fan-casting”.
Blunt did confirm that she could have played Peggy Carter and Black Widow, roles that eventually went to Hayley Atwell and Scarlett Johansson respectively.
“Yeah, but it was never the right time, really, and it just didn’t work out scheduling-wise with those two,” she added.

@Rangers Fan When you sign a contract to work on a film you can't break it just because a better opportunity comes along. That's the point of the contract. To guarantee the actor is compensated for their work with an amount they agree to, and so the studio is guaranteed that actor in their film. Breaking any of those commitments (contracts) to work on Iron Man 2 would've been illegal.

His face is close enough to a human's that you could in theory. But the AI prioritizes just the facial landmarks. So it would still have some of its color problems it would just look like he's wearing a mask kind of

I like Scarlett Johansson and Emily Blunt. A shame Emily Blunt turned down Black Widow. But, I am real glad Scarlett Johansson got cast and she was born to play that character. Interesting to see what the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies would had been like if Emily Blunt had been cast.

Yeah. Poor emily blunt thought people will watch the giant movie after reading it in stories over and over again. I am glad she rejected it because scarlett johannson is the best black widow. she really is bron for the role. Her fights and sassy attitudes are the first reason which attracted me towards MCU. Now after iron man black widow and captain America are gone i don't think whoever mcu bring i am gonna watch the films again until this three or at least one of these three comes back.

Fun TV pfttt. They are perfectly casted. But somehow sooner or later the character would be bland. After 10 years it's the perfect time for them to stop & leave a big impact on the audience. @@lizziebooth5397 nah, no internet murder. Agree to disagree though, I prefer SJ for exactly the same reasons you prefer EB. I like SJ feeling more like a child soldier/child assassin who is doing what she can to keep up. It makes any script flaws easier to accept, like the monster line to me never felt like she was saying it about that she lacks a uterus/ovaries, but a young person being so damn used to have to be constantly manipulative that she fucked up a step when she accidentally tried to emotionally manipulate banner to consider them equals, which would have been more frustrating coming from someone like Emily Blunt. ...I really loved that moment between Romanov and Banner but I appear to have interpreted it completely differently from most people, which was why I loved it. I appear to always have consideres Black Widow to be a lot more manipulative and not able to completely turn it off than the average person. I guess the manipulation scenes between her and others in the previous movies left a far deeper impression on me than most, so it felt really fitting she fucked up from bad old habits while trying to be genuine with Banner and get him to accept her as someone other than the idealized version he had of her out of his own selfhatred. She overcorrected too far. Big oops.

It's been being done for decades. Phil Hartman deep-faked Jack Nicholson's voice for some scenes in one of his movies around 1980. Gene Hackman's voice was faked for reshoots in Superman 2.

People seem to have forgotten that programmers were faking voices before they started faking videos. A mgtow vid used an early version of the software to fake Jordan Peterson's voice. The Rogen fake is really close to mimicking the guy.

@@SvenPrime Yes yes i know where we are at. It's almost perfect. When i say it's coming i mean to say it's very close to commonplace and indistinguishable from a authentic voice. Google Duplex adds realistic imitation of non-regular sounds humans make like uhm, uhh, pauses, etc. and they did their stuff years ago, way before anyone else.

@@tomfromtartu9706 Scarlett is better Black Widow because you have only seen her as Black Widow and to be honest, Black Widow Character isn't that much of a great character, that's why her character came as an side character back in Ironman 2 and I am sure nobody care about her character that much that time until she's in The First Avengers which was again still not a lead character. Imagine if we had gotten her solo movie back before the Ironman 2 or The First Avengers movie. I don't think she'd be more popular that she's been now. Because People were only rooting for Ironman and Nolan's Batman The Dark Knight that time. So I am glad Emily didn't play Black Widow and wasn't necessary. Though Scarlett and Emily are both great Actress and they would kill it in anything they play. If Emily was just like how Scarlett's been playing Black Widow, you would again say she is better than Scarlett cause you will only see Emily as Black Widow. I don't have problem with both of them. They are both Class Actress and my only point is Black Widow isn't that Compelling character or that special. She's just a spy in a Superhero genre without Super Powers. Remove the Superhero part, what she is. It's just another Atomic Blonde or Red Sparrow, Anna, Ava which we have seen recently.

And yes, CM was helped by Endgame in box office but it still had an above average multiplier for an MCU movie and has DVD/home sales of over 800 million so I think it’s safe to say it was a hit on its own. The fact that most audience reaction videos on KZfaq show that people actually liked it. But yeah I guess Rotten Tomatoes is the REAL deal right? 😂 I mean it has an A+ Cinemascore but I guess that source you conveniently ignore since it doesn’t help your argument lmao. I’m not saying the movie was perfect, easily top 15 in the MCU for me. But I liked it, and a LOT of people did too. The numbers are right there. Somehow she looks more Russian than Scarlet Johansson. This deepfake itself has no problem, but the way Blunt and Johansson talk are very different. That's probably why the mouth looks weird.

Deepfake can't fake the deepest emotion, that is the emotion that comes in one's eyes, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow has many emotions in her eyes that the computer cannot fake at all.

You are really good and your deepfakes look very real even upto the grain. Could you do clips of all the MCU heroes if they were cast in the 90s? Like if Iron man came out in 1988. How would the casting happen? They look similar except their eyes. And I find scarlet is more suitable for the role, of course if Elisabeth did play the role, she may have different make up, hair style etc which will make it more convincing.
