The more you suffer the deeper grows your character, and with the deepening of your character you read the more penetratingly into the secrets of life. All great artists, all great religious leaders, and all great social reformers have come out of the intensest struggles which they fought bravely, quite frequently in tears and with bleeding hearts.

Hi Emly, i am a yoga teacher and a regular mediator. I have been meditating for the past consistently 5 years 20 minutes every morning. I am now going to include a 20 minute meditation every evening. i suffer from chronic insomnia and hope that including 20 to 30 minutes every evening will help me sleep better. Thank you so much for this video, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do teach my students the one nostril breathing (Nadi Sodhana). and love doing it myself in my home practice. Looking forward to more videos. Thank you again!

cal·o·rie: either of two units of heat energy. the energy needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water through 1 °C (now usually defined as 4.1868 joules). Partially explains why I have not seen a single obese person in 20 months working in India. Implementing all this to my routine tomorrow morning! Thank you very much,

Hi! Thank you for sharing! Beautiful voice, beautiful woman, beautiful spirit! I have a question : I didn't get why you call the practice of thinking of the mantra "one" the "M word" technique. Is there some piece of info I lack? Perhaps it's because english is a second language to me. With gratitude, namaste.
@bmobasco
@bmobasco 7 жыл бұрын
It seems to me that a lot of English and Western people hear the word "Meditation" and think about all sorts of things, like sitting on the floor cross-legged, with your hands curled up strangely, chanting something into a candle while stopping your mind or something. I think she is using "the M word" instead of the word "Meditation" to ease people into the practice, without all of those associations.

It supports her principle that one is not meant to "stop all thoughts". She uses a mantra in her techniques therefore to "anchor" the body, while the mind does what it does. ⚓

Sure there are no chemical energy in hot water but to discredit after single scientifically wrong claim is a flawed attitude. Imagine a great boxer telling you his body becomes heavier during punch... Body mass does not change and such claim is wrong yet still you could learn a lot if you tried.
