I have endometriosis and my brother's girlfriend has pots, I'm sorry you have to deal with these issues especially both at the same time! A few things that I've found help with my endometriosis are 1 oz of 72% dark chocolate every day, rosemary and ginger tea, steady moderate pressure to my lower abdomen from a back brace or sport corset, drinking enough water (eight 8 oz cups a day), vitamin D and E supplements and eating foods rich in Omega-3's like eggs, salmon, mackerel, walnuts, chia seeds, edamame and brussel sprouts. I don't know as much about pots since I don't have it myself but I do know that keeping the house cooler than normal can help since excessive heat often worsens symptoms and increasing your daily intake of salt and water can help more blood reach your brain and heart. I'm not qualified to comment on physical therapy or medications but reducing everyday stress can also help since stress causes our bodies to release norepinephrine which people with pots are extremely sensitive to. i was diagnosed with pots after catching covid 19 11 months ago, my best advice is pacing and rest. Do what your body is able to do, dont beat yourself up for not being able to be as active as you once were.

I'm sorry to hear about your health getting worse. my mum has polycythemia and arthritis so on her worst days she's stuck in bed till 4pm with a bad migraine and joint pain. and when she does manage to get out of bed she really struggles. the blocked arteries in her brain doesn't make anything easier :/ It's not the same as your problems but know that you're not alone. we have chickens to keep us company and you have your rats lol

Team Crumble. Lol. He is such a character. In case you’re interested, there’s another animal youtuber called 101rabbits that has the POTS condition and she talked about it in a few videos. Health problems are rough but you’re doing the best you can with what you have and that’s what matters.

I have suspected pots as well and can really empathize with the frustrations you’ve outlined in this video. What has helped me most is getting connected with local online support groups specific to POTS. In my area there are a few different groups on Facebook, so perhaps there are some for your area as well. They often include local doctors who are familiar with the condition, as well as tips and tricks for how to cope. Outside of this, the most physical relief I have had is from medications. I won’t list the specific ones I use as everyone’s body is different, but there are several different medications that can help symptoms of pots such as low blood volume and high heart rate and so on, which helped lower dizzy spells and fatigue episodes for me. Best of luck, and know you are not alone!

I don't have pots, but I do have chronically low blood pressure which has caused me to faint more than a few times and it is always scary and uncomfortable. I'm really glad you got a diagnosis, I hope that helps you get the medical care you need.

Thank you for everything you bring to the pet community! After a ton of research, I adopted 2 rats. One had a surprise pregnancy and we now have a healthy mischief 7, 4-week old babies plus the 2 original adults. I got to go from watching your videos with my kids and daydreaming about being able to have rats, to having more rats than we could ever ask for. It's honesty overwhelming at times when I think about having to rehome some when they're old enough, but at the same time, I am enjoying watching them all grow and very grateful for this experience. Anyway, videos like yours are a bright spot in my week. It's so nice learning from someone that loves these animals so much, and they're often a great bonding and teaching experience I share with my young kids. I'm sorry to hear about your health issues, and I'm wishing you the best. You are an amazing human being and you've helped so many families and pets live their best life

Emi, please take good care of yourself! We want to support you and your videos and maybe you find some ideas on how to make some content that is not too exhausting/stressful for you. Maybe try some simple videos without talking much or requiring much preparation? AND please don't feel sorry for being out of breath or seeming distracted and things like that. Of course you can explain these things but never be sorry for something that you are suffering from. Chronic illnesses are awful and I send you all the strength to get through this 🧡 Love from Germany!

i’m so thankful for your videos, they’ve helped me raise my 9 rats the absolute best and encouraged me to do the proper research. i always recommend your channel and shop to everyone i meet with rats because if i hadn’t found your channel my rats would not be in great conditions 😬 i just wanted to let you know this because if you need to take a prolonged break for health reasons in the future or anytime soon we all understand and appreciate and are grateful for all the content you’ve made already. i hope that doesn’t have to happen for your sake but we all care for you and want you to be making content in the best condition possible :)

I’m so sorry that you are going through this. I have mentioned that I also suffer from chronic illnesses but didn’t imagine that we had one in common. I also have pots, and have been experiencing more issues with it lately too. I had to quit my part time job and school last fall because I got overwhelmed with all my problems. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome hyper mobility type, pots, narcolepsy, major depression and currently working on an adhd diagnosis. Pots often comes alongside other illnesses, or with other illnesses so I would suggest looking into those in case anything sounds familiar. My tips for pots, be extremely careful not to overheat, not sure if it is like this for everyone but I get a huge flair up if I get the slightest bit hot 🥵 (or sometimes I feel hot when I’m having a flair up, I get dizzy and nauseous and feel like I’m on fire) I sometimes wear compression garments I’m not sure why they help but they do (and they keep my joints in place better) I try to be very conscious of not getting up too fast, and especially after I have been laying down for a long time. I have a cane that folds out into a seat in case I need to stand in line somewhere and need to sit down and also have a grocery cart with a fold down seat. I’m looking into getting/making a “headache hat” because I want to see if that helps. I currently use a cooling towel for my head when I feel dizzy. In the summer I have a bunch of different portable fans, one hangs around my neck and blows upwards to my face and I stay indoors when it’s too hot, and very much limit my time in the sun. I have heard that there is medication that can help but I already am on so many different ones for other stuff that I didn’t bother to ask about it. And yes, I always sound out of breath after the smallest activity too. But the biggest mistake I made was pushing myself too much, when my son started school I got involved, which eventually led to me working at his school and then going back to school myself to get a better job within the school and it all came crashing down on me and I had to walk away from everything. I don’t know what it is like there (I’m in Canada) but I qualified for disability through the government and based on how much money I paid into the pension program I now get a monthly payment. It’s not huge because I am still pretty young (is 37 young?) Bonus is now I have more time for my rats, kitten and new hamster. I’m trying to convince my husband to get mice but I don’t think I should take on too many new animals at once. Gentle hugs ❤️

Ah, POTS club. I'm undiagnosed but meet all the diagnostic criteria and then some so I feel you. It's super hard to live with. I've been stuck laying on city sidewalks before (real fun, as I'm sure you know) to avoid totally passing out. Increasing your salt intake helps with retaining hydration but discuss with your doctor first. Deep pressure on the legs and compression socks/tights can also really help!

Being chronically ill is so difficult, I'm so sorry your conditions have made life harder for you. I have HS, and when I have flares on my legs/armpits/neck it makes it so hard to move. Sometimes eating and feeding/playing with my rats is all I can do in a day. I've also had to wait to get treatment for my condition bc of COVID. Living with these things are hard, my best wishes to you for possible treatment in the future ♥️

Oh Emi I'm so sorry you're having medical issues. I feel your pain as far as having endometriosis. I was diagnosed with it when I was 26. I had 2 surgeries, outpatient laparoscopies. They did help with the pain in the long run. And because they were outpatient surgeries, I was back to work the next day. On those days when you're not feeling well, it's ok to cut yourself some slack and do nothing. 💜

I feel your pain, often it's hard to get going. I've also had it almost my whole life without diagnosis (I am 28). I hope you're doing better now and have some good understanding on how to treat yourself! I am still figuring it out for myself.
