The thing about Pink is , when you hear this song for the 155th time , you’ll get that same feeling ! This was fun to watch , thanks

The abrupt ending is because it blends in with the next song, "Any Colour You Like", which is a pure instrumental bridge. Really, starting with "Us and Them", the rest of the album plays almost like a single song, with a slight break after "Any Colour You Like". Then the album finishes off with "Brain Damage", and "Eclipse", which really are basically one song. Since those last three songs add up to a total play time of about 9 minutes, you could conceivably do them all together in a single video, and finish your reaction to the album with one emotional crescendo.
@ThatsMrPencilneck2U

Pink Floyd creates all their albums as a singular work. Other bands, like Jethro Tull and ELP made singular works with Thick as a Brick and Brain Salad Surgery. BSS could be cut up easily, but most albums are just that: a collection of songs.

@dania. You mean putting loops of sound together with Pro Tools isn't a real performance? Things were going in that direction, back in the 1970's. Yes recorded their music in 2 minute segments, and spliced the tapes. It might have taken them a day or two to perform a song. They might not have played it all the way through, at one time in the studio, but they played the song all the way through. Now, bands just one perfect take of one segment, loop it, correct everything for time and pitch, resulting in a sanitized and lifeless product.

This albums is about humanity going insane. Money is an issue, this song points out how the us vs them mentality lead to the insanity. John Lennon once said something along the lines of “We’ve all gone insane. If you can tell me what the goal is, please tell me, seems we are being run by inane people for inane means.”

Watching and listening here with you brought me to tears. As a teenager in the 70’s, this was the first album that made me realize how powerful good music can be to your soul. As you said, Dark Side of the Moon is Pink Floyd’s “masterpiece”, and it will no doubt be appreciated far into the future, as the likes of Mozart and Beethoven are today.

Most of Pink Floyd flows one idea or song into another. Breaking songs down leads to strange cut offs as the follow up to that cut off was under another title. Time flows right into The Great Gig in the Sky etc.

Seen them live 3 times." Uma Goma" album in 1969,. Unbelievable concert, with about 6 thousand People. With a stage show with 30 ft, gong that erupted into flames as it floating away into space as the stage fog thickened as if the stage was traveling into space. It was a visual show about the song," Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun". It was like being in another galaxy traveling through space "Dark Side of The Moon" in 1973, the album just hit the market as they did their tour for it. It was all new. To hear it the first time live in concert before the album, was just spectacular to witness. A concert that left everybody in suspense and wonder, not a word spoken. The 20 k fans just traveled with the journey it took, absolutely astonishing. Walking out of the building one was sure that we were stepping off a space ship onto another planet. This was the effect of what the true concert was to depict from the album./ "Dark Side of The Moon". Not a sing along. "The Wall"outdoor concert, equally spectacular, with a sound system that could be heard kilometers away. Having complaints from the municipality, residents.

This album "Dark Side of the Moon" has spent 949 weeks on the chart. That's almost 20 cumulative years! It is the best album ever made in my humble opinion though that is highly debatable, of course. You really should do yourself a favor and listen to this album in its entirety. It's a concept album where most the songs run together. Check it out! You will be glad you did.

Excellent choice for the world to hear Empress. I feel that greed and ignorance are the two leading causes of manufactured division. My heart and soul has been screaming for the people of Ukraine. The final words from the innocent and Defiant 13 Men and Women on the small Ukrainian island when told to surrender or die two days ago will never be forgotten by me "Russian warship, go f^@& yourselves". The emotions on your face prove that you feel it all. The abrupt cut off is where it bleeds into "Any Colour You Like". As well as listening to the whole album, for your self or for reacting to. Also check out the "Making of Dark Side Of The Moon" you will understand what all the disembodied voices saying "odd" things are about, Samples from doormen etc;

Always great watching your face with these reactions, we can see your feelings in your facial expressions. Great reaction Joy Jean, also a great song from Pink Floyd with a slightly controversial topic, War. Lyrics are crucial to Pink Floyd songs to really understand what they're talking about. Many Pink Floyd songs run into each other without separation, so the person who made this single song video cut it off at the end, before the next song. Most all of their albums are concept albums, meaning they tell a story, the album this song is on, (Dark Side of the Moon), is no exception.

I imagine it's going to be a long time before the world gets a combination of Waters lyrics, Gilmour's soulful guitar, and Wright's ballads (sorry Nick) that will invoke such deep, emotional reaction from such a broad group of people across the globe. it is close to magic, and I'm glad I was a young man growing up to witness it and still enjoy it as much today (as a 52 year old) as I did when I was 10 or 12 years old.
